Wow! I am loving my new Whynter 2.1 Quart Upright Ice Cream Maker. It is so easy to use and so quiet. It is so smart; it even knows when to stop churning, but it continues to keep the ice cream at the right consistency. I made banana ice cream already, and it was delicious! Thanks for a great product!

Can I run this longer than an hour?

Just finished my first batch and it was looser than soft-serve when the timer stopped after an hour. Consequently, once the ice cream was placed in the freezer, ice crystals formed and the texture wasn't great. I'd prefer to run this until the motor stalls for each batch. Will that harm the unit long-term? Do I have to hit Start again or is there a way to bypass the timer?

Can I make yogurt with this model?

Hi, love this machine for ice cream, had it for a year. I was wondering if I can make yogurt with it too? I read that some machines let you make both! Thanks

Agh... broke in 2 years

I’ve barely had this machine for 2 years and it stopped churning midway through a cycle. It was great for a while then it’s just stopped. It was so expensive that I expected much better. The ice cream didn’t even have any mix-ins either. Super frustating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great workhorse ice cream machine

We just bought this to help pass the quarantine time. So far we’ve made 3 batches. I have a house full of kids, and each batch has made enough to give this family of 8 a few scoops. So far our favorite is orange, and pineapple juice and sugar. It’s so easy, I just dumped it all in! So glad we bought this! I just wish that buying an extra bowl was a little easier to find.

I love this ice cream maker

I got this in 2018 as a christmas present from my husband. I have used it countless times, and it always works perfectly. Delivers soft-serve consistency for ice cream. Can obtain harder ice cream after additional hour or two in the freezer.
