It's a great watch, comfortable and the screen is bigger.

If Samsung cannot improve the sleep tracking this may be the last Galzxy watch I buy and I have bought everyone they have released.. I have read many reviews with experience like my own where the watch states that I have been awake for 2 or more hours, shows little or no deep sleep and rem. This as opposed to what my Ringconn and other smart watch report.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I unfortunately had the Galaxy 6 watch die... So, because i was very happy with my watch, I purchased another. This time a Galaxy 7 abit larger ( which I really like and another type of band (more sporty). Overall I love the apps, especially the health and heart monitoring, as I am over 50+ so I appreciate monitoring my health. The ease of set up, purchasing, quick delivary, ability to answer calls, texts (and return texts), and see notices timely... Stylish and very Dick Tracey, if you remember the detective cartoon who had a a radio talking watch...
Great watch and working seamlessly with the cell phone app.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall pleased with the Watch 7

This review is for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7. I have owned many prior Galaxy watches (Gear S3, Active2, Watch X), and I recently upgraded to the Watch 7. The watch is VERY comfortable, to the point where I even sometimes don't realize I have it on, and don't mind wearing it to bed. However, I do wish the edge was rounded (like the Active 2) so that it didn't catch on clothing so easily. The google Assistant/Home features work as expected, and I can control my smart devices from my wrist. The user interface is also smooth and responsive. I have also noticed some improvements from prior Watch X models. For instance, the vibration motor seems more powerful than previous Watch X models. When wearing the Watch 6, i would constantly miss calls and texts, but I rarely miss any on the watch 7. Also, the heart rate sensor seems much more realistic. On all prior Galaxy watch models that I've owned, the heart rate didn't even come close to the correct heart rate until about 20 minutes into the workout. I have not checked for pinpoint Accuracy on the Watch 7, but the numbers are a lot more "realistic" earlier in the workout. These are the positives that stand out for me. However, there are some shortcomings, the worst of which is the battery life. I do not have AOD enabled, and still only get a little more than a day. This wouldn't be so bad if the watch charged up quickly (for instance while I was in the shower), but it takes almost 2 hours to charge from 5 to 100%. So because of this, I still rely on wearing my old Gear S3 when my Watch 7 is charging, which brings me to the second issue. The Auto-Switch feature only works when switching from the Watch 7 to the S3, but does NOT work when switching from the S3 back to the Watch 7 (I need to manually go into the Wearable app and manually reconnect every time). Another issue I have is that the watch will randomly lock, and I need to unnecessarily put in the PIN multiple times a day (even if I didn't remove the watch). Lastly, it's just silly how the name overlays the contact's picture on the Contacts tile. This defeats the purpose of having a picture. The prior generations of the watch had the name underneath, which made much more sense. Obviously, this is nothing to lose sleep over, it just looks ridiculous. Bottom line, I do like the watch overall, and would recommend it especially for the comfort factor, but it does have enough shortcomings to knock it down from 5 to 4 stars.
Nice upgrade from my old watch 5. I'm glad I went ahead and ordered the 7, just wish I would've done it sooner. If your looking to be hands free this Galaxy watch7 is where you'll want to be.
