This is the second galaxy 7 watch I've had in 2 weeks... the battery life sucks... turned off stuff and it still doesn't last thru the day... usually about 11am it gets hot and then loses 50% battery life... doesn't track all my steps, definitely don't like this watch.. features are good, battery sucks.. I'm taking it back for the third time and want another watch not this kind... would not recommend...

Thank you for sharing your feedback about the Galaxy Watch 7. We're hate to hear that your experience with battery life and step tracking did not meet your expectations. The new 3nm processor enhances your daily routine, allowing you to quickly switch from checking the weather to tracking your workouts. Additionally, it optimizes battery life for long-lasting power, ensuring that the Galaxy Watch 7 keeps pace with your activities. The Galaxy Watch 7 is designed to provide a variety of features that support a connected lifestyle, so it's disappointing when those features do not perform as expected. We recommend ensuring that your watch is up to date with the latest software version available. If your watch is paired with a Samsung phone you can use Samsung Members to perform a diagnostic on your watch battery. If it passes the test, you'll know the battery is in good condition. Check out the link attached for additional options to help optimize your watch's battery life. We've also included a link for options to help troubleshoot your step tracking on your watch. If any of this persists, please be sure to reach out to us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01003232/ (battery) https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01003112/#inaccurate-step-factors-on-your-samsung-smart-watch smsng.us/Samsung-Support smsng.us/Facebook-Messenger smsng.us/X-Messages smsng.us/Samsung-Community smsng.us/Warranty-Info smsng.us/Samsung-Care-Plus
I was after fall protection. I discovered you need to push the stem 5 times to call for help. Not what I wanted. What if you are unconscious. I returned. It was to complicated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us, Linda. We really appreciate your feedback on the Galaxy Watch7. The Watch7 features a hard fall detection function that will send out an SOS if it detects a serious fall, notifying your emergency contacts immediately if you need assistance. However, the fall detection feature is not enabled by default, so you must turn it on manually using the Galaxy Wearable app while ensuring your watch is connected. To enable it, open the app, tap on "Watch settings," select "Safety and emergency," and toggle the switch next to "Hard fall detection." If you don’t have any emergency contacts added, you’ll need to do that for the feature to work properly. You can also customize what happens when a fall is detected by selecting "Hard fall detection" in the settings, including the option to share your location with emergency contacts and make an emergency call if needed. If you have any further concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin smsng.us/Samsung-Support smsng.us/Facebook-Messenger smsng.us/X-Messages smsng.us/Samsung-Community smsng.us/Warranty-Info smsng.us/Samsung-Care-Plus

Poor battery life is a deal breaker for me.

This watch has to be charged every 24 hours, not exaggerating. How can a person get meaningful tracking when the watch cannot be worn for 1 hour and 45 minutes everyday? To make things even more complicated, you often need to reboot after charging or it won't resume tracking. My daughters Apple watch blows this out of the water. I am now thinking i need to go back to Apple so I can have a good watch.

Battery life is dismal, I traded in a 44 mm watch 5 which had a much longer battery life.

I love this watch, this is my first smartwatch so I don't have anything to compare. Its battery's life is long, but I kept it on the default settings. I saw a post regarding the battery's life and wanted to address that. I saw on a review that it runs hot when charging, I haven't ran into that problem. Great features.
