Battery doesn't even last a full day. I can not make my step count because I have to charge the watch in the middle of my workout.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this watch as much as the Galaxy6 for which I have traded up. I have had every generation of Samsung Galaxy watches and have liked them all. I use this watch primarily for athletics/training and health and fitness tracking. I particularly like the body composition information which keeps me on target and my goals. I like having the updated fitness workout selection, weather at my finger tips (wrist), activity schedules and minute by minute notifications (very helpful when flying).
The only drawback that I see is the "raised" or flushed crystal (unlike the Galaxy6 which is recessed) which is subject to hard incidental strikes and possible chipping as I am pretty hard on my watches. The battery is somewhat smaller (44mm instead of 47mm) and I which will have to be charged more frequently than the Galaxy6. Otherwise, this is a great watch and has served me well. Still learning its uses.
I would recommend this to a friend!

An upgrade over the Watch6!
on August 2, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this watch more than the Watch6!
The improved sensors integrate well with my existing Samsung ecosystem setup and have been keeping me on track with sleep and exercise. I like that they're better at automatically tracking workouts and heart rates (which is especially important for me since I have to keep track of my heart rate for medical reasons).
The new athleisure bands also look and feel a lot better than previous editions. They don't shift up and down and they also don't make my wrist sweat beneath the band.
The improved battery life is also more convenient. I've gone from daily charging to charging only every 2 - 3 days (while still having some battery leftover at the end of the day)!
I'd have to say, also, that one of the more underrated features is the Galaxy AI. The ability to respond to texts and calls with messages that sound like me (rather than canned machine-sounding responses) is really nice!
My biggest gripe is definitely that the screen is still somewhat prone to scratches like the Watch6, but that's nothing that a screen protector can't fix.
Overall, though, highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgrade from a Watch 3 classic. It has much better battery life and is more responsive which is expected and delivered. Only complaint really so far is the "go to phone" message. If it cannot do the function of the app then why have it on the device.
It was disappointing to me when I found the watch's battery life was not improved over the Galaxy 6. Otherwise, I like the watch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from 10 years with fitbit. I wanted somthing that gave me more functionality with my phone and to still give me my activity information. This gives me all I wanted. However, the battery bearly last my a day. I need the watch to at least last me to get home from work and it does not last.
