Easy, power configuration; Great performance

The Orbis let me configure them how I want to, and the performance is much better than other single routers that I've used in the past. Nitpicks: firmware update feature that downloads it for you has stopped working so you have to update them manually; it doesn't let you define a separate DHCP range from the static MAC-based assignments; it doesn't do DNS for your local domain.

ORBI RBK50 Router and Satellite

Very easy setup. However, I have 1 gig Internet speed and all I seem to get is under 400 mbps even directly connected to the router with an ethernet cable. The one item that is corrected so far is that I am not seeing the constant buffering on the TV.

Once we got the firmware to the right level (took several calls to the help center and an elevation to a higher level of support) everything seems to be working fine. Just switched to fiber optic and I'm still trying to get my speeds up to what is advertised.

I purchased the Orbi mesh system to increase signal strength throughout my home. I noticed it goes offline for unknown reasons. The 90 day support is weak as the some issues don’t show up until later. Through the app I was not able to change my password and maintain the security of WPA2. It would a an automatically change my security settings to WPA. I figured out I had to do this by logging directly into the router. Overall I rated this a 3 star due to operational issues experienced the coverage and speed I get throughout my house is great.
