Orbi network reaches fast and far

As my home network expanded over time my current router could no longer handle the speed or distance required to keep it all running smooth. My network consists of 4 WiFi cameras, 1 thermostat, two fans, WiFi speaker, network receiver, two I-phones, two roku smart TVs, laptop, 2 desktop PCs, and a smart ac switch. The Orbi rb50 system handles it all with no issues. I was able to switch over to this new router in about 1 hour for 80% of the devices, only a few components required some additional configuration. The iPhone Orbi app is very simple and will get you up and running in no time, but when you need more advanced options such as port forwarding then use the Orbi web interface which has all the settings required. The best feature is that I no longer have any dead spots in the house or immediate yard. The router includes a satellite which resides on the second floor which increases the coverage significantly. Very impressed overall with the Orbi's design and functionality.

Orbi AC3000 (RBK50)

I have tried several WiFi 'extender' devices over the years. Even ones provided by Cable companies themselves. Nothing came even close to the Orbi AC3000. It's amazing!!! Takes 2 minutes to hook up and literally I now have a WiFi connection in a dead spot where I couldn't get any signal, to now downloading speeds of around 460mb/s!! Even the satellites which I only needed one which came with the main system are just plug and play. Plug it into your wall outlet and that's it. You now have internet access just as strong as if guy were standing in front of your main router. Another bonus is each satellite also has 4 gigabit Ethernet connections on each one in case you want wired connections in some rooms of your house, perfect to hook the kids video games Systems too so not everything is wireless. I can't recommend this product anymore then just tell everyone they have to get it. I already have a friend and a family member trying them out. Do yourself a favor, get this product.

Great coverage and easy installation

We bought this system about 4 months ago -- what a difference it made in our house! We have 4000sqft house w/ a back patio. We have had Xfinity system for ever and the throughput and dead spots were something we just lived with.
The two satellite system works incredibly well -- dead spots are a thing of the past. The latency and throughput are impressive. With the coronavirus shelter in-place, we have three teenagers on video conference w/ the classes, Mom and Dad in video Teams meetings and everyone has great response time. In the evening, we have 3 HD streams running at once (which was not possible before) and again -- no issue. Great system!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Saved me from those extenders

The Orbi wifi mesh were a replacement for my router extender set up, which was a complete nightmare. Orbi helped me when I was in a 2000 sqft home and now in a 3800 sqft home providing the same blazing fast internet in all corners of the home, including 100% uptime for my exterior cameras and Ring floodlights. The Armor has been an extra, which has helped me keep an eye on devices which connect to my network, including warning me when someone at home accesses a possible “Trojan” or phishing site. Overall I’m very happy with the Orbi and have recommended it to my friends and co-workers.

Had my Orbi mesh up and running within a few minutes. Migration of devices with a camera is so easy using the QR code. I now have zero dead spots and am getting great performance.
