I tried everything to get Wi-Fi through out my home. My (unnamed) router is at the back of the house and I couldn't get a good signal in any part of the house. My gaming system is in the front part of the house with many walls for a signal to get through. Much frustration. A friend told me about Orbi and thought what the heck I've already spent to much money trying to get a good signal. So I purchased it, set it up next to the modem and put the satellite next to my Xbox and the cool thing was I was able to hard connect to my Xbox from the back of the satellite. I tested the signal and its the same throughout the whole house. I even get a great signal in my front and back yard. I'm a happy camper. Thank you....

Great product, highly recommend

My setup of the Orbi AC3000 was very simple and clear, with very well laid out user experience. Using the QR codes to identify my Orbi, and download the mobile app really made things easy. Once up, the app provides a simple elegant view of my network, and allowed me to customize each of the names of the hotspots (eg: "living room") for easy reference later, and even devices connected to the network that initially had unrecognizable names from their manufacturers. Finally, using it around the house has been great, with the mesh extending out into the backyard, to the far bedrooms, and getting around our large brick fireplace that had caused a lot grief with our old single router. This is what home networking should be.

Excellent App, Solid Signal

Briefly, the app works; use it to set up the Orbi. Keep the little plastic ring that slips over the top so you can scan the QR code for the app. And, marvelously, Orbi allows you to connect satellites via ethernet, as well as WiFi, for solid Wifi everywhere even in the most difficult conditions. Also, very very good to know, Orbi plays well with my Netgear switch, so I can connect not just my Orbi satellites, but my printers, computers, and so forth. Signal is very fast and stable, reach is excellent -- signal outside the house (brick and concrete construction) is still strong enough that both the front and back yard get better than twice the throughput that cellular data offers, and much, much better latency. Excellent!

Go with Orbi!

After reading several head to head reviews of mesh systems I picked the the Orbi RK50 set for my new home. Set up was very intuitive and only to 10 minutes with the Orbi app on my phone. I was skeptical that the two units had enough power to cover my 5000 sq foot house, but I've been very pleased. I set it up and haven't touched it since! No rebooting the modem or router. No switching between frequencies. No WiFi extenders. AND my download speeds are significantly improved. Couldn't be happier! The system is customizable to my family and I like the file sharing and parental control options. Orbi 100% worth the small price increase over your standard routers and I think it's the best mesh product in the market.

Far Faster than Expected

I'm subscribed to the Gigablast plan with Cox Cable: 1GB/35Mbs. I recently moved my Asus AC68U to another part of my house which created a considerable dead spot downstairs. Namely, it affected my wife's ability to browse the internet and my smart TV to hiccup when streaming Netflix. My house is about 2100 sq ft with about 27 devices connected wirelessly. I wasn't sure what to expect with hooking up the Orbi RBR50. But I was genuinely surprised by the difference it made across my household. For example, it cured my unstable connection to my Nest outdoor camera. And the time to connect to my Ring doorbell now is a few seconds at most versus 10-15 seconds before. I simply cannot find a dead spot anywhere in my home anymore.

NetGear ORBI solved my WiFi Problems

I had been buying the cheaper WiFi routers in hopes of extending my coverage and increasing bandwidth in my home. Turns out that I was adding to my problems by creating competing networks. Coverage was spotty at best and frequently dropped no matter where I was in my house. I investigated and purchased the ORBI system and all my WiFi problems have been solved. I've even disabled the WiFi that came with my cable service. This is a mesh network system that now reaches throughout my home and into my yard. No matter where I go with my device, I have full coverage at full speed. I am no longer frustrated with slow speeds, dropped connections, and poor gaming experience. Thank you, ORBI, the investment was well worth it.

Works as advertized

Bought the RBK50 to replace my standard AT&T router for my ~3,000 sq ft, two story home. Tried 3 different AT&T standard modem/routers - but none of them were able to provide full coverage of my home (either dropped connections or experienced very slow speeds further away from the router). Chose the Orbi RBK50 after reading many different on-line reviews of wireless mesh products. Setup of the Orbi was very straightforward via the iphone app. Have been using it for over a week now. Very noticeable improvement over the AT&T supplied router. No longer experiencing dropped connections or slow speeds at the furthest distance from my main router. I would definitely recommend this product based on my experience so far.

I bought the 2 pack and it worked out better than i thought it would. My intention was to buy the 2 pack and see how many more I would need to purchase to cover my whole house and yard. I have the best modem Verizon has to offer. The modem is in my basement and i could not get great reception across the room, never mind on the next floor. I put the main Orbi next to my Verizon modem and plugged it directly into the modem. We put the satellite Orbi on the second floor of our cape cod style house and now we have great coverage everywhere in the house and yard without any lag or disconnects. This was our best electronics purchase is years! We are very happy with it!
