Wifi Throughout the house

I was real hesitant on spending the amount of money for this router amd satellite setup as I was use to having a single router for the entire house. Old school I guess. I spent about 3 weeks watching YouTube videos and googling mesh routers and getting to understand how they work. Well I am here to say that the hype on these should be believed. I now have connection in all places in my house which is right at 2800 sqft. I now also have connection around my pool and outside of the house. I looked at my wifi mapon our roomba and it clearly shows the huge difference in the strength of wifi signal throughout the house, especially the furthest points from the roomba receiver. Highly recommend for a large house.

Blown away!

My mom has the Samsung hub WiFi mesh system and it works great. I've always been a Samsung fan but I saw the orbi and decided to give it a try. Netgear has been doin wifi way longer and I've had Netgear routers since I started with the internet. I am so glad I switched! Seriously the reception these things get is insane. I used to have two separate wifi routers in my house, one on one side one on the other. I constantly had to switch connections, and I still had dead spots. Guess what... No more dead spots! It was super simple to install and I had internet in less than 10 minutes. I had a question and emailed support and within minutes I had an answer. I am so stoked, on this system! Totally a great buy!

Great Mesh Network - EASY SETUP

I was switching from ATT to Xfinity and wanted to have my own modem and WiFi router. In a 2500 sf two story home, I was having issues with a standard router. After reading all of the reviews of the different mesh network hardware, I went with Orbi simply because of the design of the connection between the base and satellite having a strong dedicated connection providing great coverage on both floors. Ease of setup was the second reason. This was the easiest, fastest device I have ever set up! I am digging into the move advanced settings to open Port Forwarding for a CCTV security system and this has been simple as well. Overall a great product with easy setup and delivers on the promise of a complete covered home!

Top of the heap!

I am 73 years of age and have played with the 'Internet of Things' for well over 20 years. As things have grown and improved I have updated my devices and home on a regular basis. I can say hands down that I have regularly used Netgear products. They are reasonably priced, readily available, and very reliable. The Orbi system has far and away been the best WIFI system that I have purchased. The sleek styling can be displayed in any room and the power of the units is unbelievable compared to comparatively priced units. I am a stickler on reliability. I never have to worry about operation or range of my Orbi. Thank you Netgear for such a wonderful home WIFI system. It is truly the 'top of the heap'!

Excellent Wireless whole-house Router!

When I discovered that my current wireless router was not sufficient to cover my whole house without "dead zones", I started looking at different options. Then my son bought an Orbi system for his house. I was amazed that the two units easily covered his entire house, with no loss of signal or speed. Based on that, I bought an Orbi system for my home. I was concerned, because my son's house is all on a single floor, while mine is 3 stories. However, the two Orbi units covered my house perfectly, with no dead spots. Setup was simple and fast, plus the ethernet connections on the back of both units also gives me the option of hard-wiring desktop computers or other non-wifi equipment. Overall, I'm VERY pleased!

OMG so easy to use!

I have been an avid (i.e. rabid) Mac user since I can remember. I have gone through the gamut of Airport devices, even up to the latest generation. However, the WiFi in my home was very spotty, even with an Apple Express "extending" my network. I happened to look for alternatives to Airport and came upon a review of the Orbi. I did lots of research and decided to give it a shot. What a difference!! With the two full sized units my kids can download at high speed in all corners of the house (it's about 3600 sq ft). It was a SNAP to set up, and it's larger than I expected but very attractive. All in all this was one of the best purchases I have made based on an online review. I highly recommend the Netgear Orbi!!

Great Product and Performance

The RBK50 is performing as advertised. I did a lot of research and one thing to mention is to be careful when reading reviews over a year old. When initially released, the unit had issues which have subsequently been resolved through firmware updates. The phone app setup wizard was easy to navigate and from start to finish it took about 25 minutes to complete the setup and connect 5 devices. The throughout and coverage are excellent. Previously had a single Netgear gateway\router and was continuously having connectivity issues with newest Spectrum provided modems. Have not had a single connecticity issue since installing the Orbi system.

So right out the box it was plug and play it's set up already plug your modem in and wait for the lights to stop blinking and there you have it network set. Now if you are the type that likes the app and to personalize your network name and have a guest side to your network then you may have some small bumps to work through. But it's not a major meltdown type of problems. Also to help with making up your mind if you should spend the money for this router IT IS WELL WORTH IT!!! I have a nice amount of home automation in my house on top of spoiled kids that have computers, Phone, and fire sticks in there rooms and it has handled everything we have thrown at it with a very responsive Wi-Fi signal. Great job Netgear.
