Clear Voice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Base will blow you out of your seat, and the Clear Voice is amazing, i used to replay to hear what they said, don't have to do that now. Outstanding surround sound and sound follows the action right to left as an example its like your part of the action. Best sound bar system I eve owned.

Bar works great, Woofer - not so much

The soundbar itself and the surround speakers work well. The biggest problem I hear is the subwoofer. It's like completely weak. I barely hear it. I even used the SmartThings app and tried to boost the level up using the equalizer and the woofer adjustment. It makes no difference. I have 2 other subwoofers in my house and I know what it's supposed to be like. This output is so low, it's not even worth it. Doing a search about this product shows that the subwoofer is a huge complaint. Samsung should fix this. I don't think exchanging the unit would necessarily help, but maybe.

Thank you for taking a moment to review the Samsung HW-Q990F Soundbar.
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer: 1. Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the level between -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2. Adjust the bass control by pressing the TONE CONTROL button on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

No need to upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this device after watching video after video of reviews the HW-Q990F. I was sold on reviews and bought this device. I upgraded from the HW-Q990C. I really wanted to see how the dual subs would sound since i had been wanting and waiting for samsung to do this. Well let me say i was not happy at all. Samsung in my opinion your to conservative with the bass sound. The fact that you have a box that does not breath nor even meets the metrics for a dual subwoofer makes no sense. More speakers and less space for them to operate does not equal greater sound. In an American market people want that deep bass for their sound sound especially when your offering dolby atmos. I will say this, the soundbar and towers are amazing for the updated device. The subwoofer needs to go back to the drawing board and remember your dealing with American rooms that have a lot more room then your testing areas. I would just offer a system with dual subwoofers similar to the HW-Q990C-D.

Same Greatness as Last Year.

I use it for gaming , movies and Streaming and im very pleased on how it Sounds , I had last years Q990D and they improved the Subwoofer, making it sound clean and rattle free.

Incredible Sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After months of research I pulled the trigger on this sound bar and sub. I recently purchased a QN85 Samsung TV and I wasn't sure if I wanted just the bar but am glad I went this route. The setup was simple and seamless and the sound is crisp and powerful. We've been watching movies with the kids and with the sub, it's like being in a movie theater without hurting your ears. You can really feel the bass and with all of the speakers it feels like you're in the movie. Fantastic purchase and another great Samsung product.

The sound is great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have this hooked up to our new 98" tv purchased together. Great sound, love the wireless rear speakers...only thing had this hooked up with hdmi cable. After 4 months , just quit, so called company...said try a new hdmi cable, no luck, so it works with Bluetooth, but disappointed that hdmi quit and no solution. Does not work wifi either.

You can try performing a hard reset.
With Remote: Turn soundbar off Press power on soundbar 5 – 10 seconds Release the power button once you see INT or RESET on the soundbar’s LED panel Wait for the soundbar to turn back on then it should return to default settings.
With Remote: Power Off Soundbar Hold Play/Pause button on the remote for about 5 – 10 seconds Release the button once you see INT or RESET on the soundbar’s LED panel Power on soundbar and repair to your TV
Without remote Turn on soundbar Press and hold the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons on the soundbar at the same time for about 5 – 10 seconds Release when you see LED say INT or RESET Wait for soundbar to reboot
