Good soundbar

Easy to set up with solid sound quality.
I do wish the Google integration were more reliable—asking Google Assistant to play Spotify on the soundbar works inconsistently at best.
A dedicated remote button for private rear sound would have been a welcome addition.
While adjusting settings in the app is effortless, doing the same with the remote—deciphering prompts from a scrolling LED display—feels like a throwback to 20 years ago.
I do wish the Google integration were more reliable—asking Google Assistant to play Spotify on the soundbar works inconsistently at best.

Satellites miss the mark

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up with the LG G5 connected to the eARC using an Ethereal HDMI cable. Connectivity was simple and straight forward. Can control the power and volume using the LG remote (I hate the LG remote). The Samsung app for the 990 is straight forward and easy to use. Tested using both 4K streaming content and blu ray.
Soundbar & bass are excellent when watching movies and sports. Clear with no distortion when you crank the volume. Dialogue crisp and doesn’t get lost. The soundbar carries the movie with ease. It captures the details within the scenes and places their sound in the appropriate space. Bass delivers on both subtle and explosive scenes with perfect timing and impact without drowning out the moment.
Satellites miss the mark. They don’t match the quality of sound generated by the soundbar and bass. They’re weak and overly passive. I barely know they exist. They're certainly don’t contribute to an immersive experience. I tested several recent movie titles with Dolby Atmos and repeated the calibration (even though the system claims to auto calibrate). It’s like Samsung threw them in as an afterthought or bonus prize and we’re not really designed at the same quality as the soundbar and sub.
Samsung brought up a pair of minor league players to fill space on the Major league bench. The satellites are present, watch the game, but never step onto the field.

To fine-tune individual speaker channels, press the CH LEVEL button on your remote. This gives you control over levels for the Center, Side, Wide, Front Top, Rear, and Rear Top speakers. Once you've selected the desired channel, you can adjust its volume between -6 and +6 using the Up and Down buttons. There are also a couple of ways to adjust bass levels. The WOOFER button lets you increase or decrease bass by pushing forward or pulling back, with a range between -12 and +6. Pressing the button inward will reset the bass to 0. Alternatively, the TONE CONTROL button allows you to adjust both bass and treble levels within a -6 to +6 range.
For even greater convenience, you can manage all of these settings and more through the SmartThings app on your iOS or Android device. After connecting your soundbar to Wi-Fi, the app gives you a user-friendly interface to adjust and view settings right from your phone or tablet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A perfect sound system, was debating between this and a few other competitors but I am so glad I went with this one because you can't beat the quality and ease of use specially at this price range. It is a sound system that naturally competes with others that are double and 3 times the price and can always keep themselves in the conversation. Calibration is simple and the bass is absolutely incredible in any scenario. It's definitely worth your ears specially when you live in a loud city.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only been couple days but I like it so far. Would love to have more manual control same for calibration. Auto calibration is good but there is no way to know if its done or not. Sound clarity is great. Bass is not as deep as I like.
