Cinema Sound at Home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The soundbar king has returned once again to claim the top spot for the year of 2025. The all new Samsung Q990F soundbar has claimed the crown again and deservedly so. This soundbar system is sleek, stylish, elegant, and will give you that true cinema experience at home.
Upon receiving the soundbar I unboxed everything which were all nicely packaged. Setting up the soundbar was easy since it just required plugging in everything and connecting my game and TV source thru HDMI and it was all ready to go. Connecting the soundbar to my Smartthings app on my S25 Ultra was easy and allowed me to control the soundbar without having to worry about the remote.
Now what makes this the best soundbar is the sound that it produces to make it feel like you're at the cinema. Upon watching something you immediately know the powerful sound that the soundbar can fill the room with. Explosions can be felt, speeding cars can heard beside you, and dialogue will feel like its in your presence. The soundbar has a lot of great modes that can be switched to suit whichever media you're watching such as adaptive sound that changes the sound with different scenes for example. Space fit sound pro plus is really cool because it maps out the room the soundbar is set in to adjust the sound profile to the best for the room. Game mode pro also made playing the PS5 more immersive and fun. I'd also like to add that the new double subwoofer design looks awesome and produces bass that packs a real punch, kudos to Samsung.

Amazing All-In-One Soundbar!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung HW-Q990F has far exceeded my expectations. The 11.4 channel system is super immersive and almost feels as if you’re completely surrounded by sound in a sphere. The bass is loud and clean especially with the Bass Enhancement dynamic control feature.
The dialogue is clear with Active Voice Amplifier Pro and SpaceFit Surround Pro. However, Voice Enhancement was kind of harsh and fatiguing, so I turned it off. Moderate bass is a nice feature to quickly turn bass off instead of changing woofer level while still getting a nice sounding low frequency boost at soundbar. One feature that would be nice to add is the crossover frequency for the sub and speakers to minimize sub localization.
One complaint I have is that you can only EQ with bands in Standard mode (7.1.4 max channels) and not Surround mode (11.1.4 max channels). The setup sounds so much better EQ’d, so it is a bummer you lose out on 4 channels if you stick with EQ’d Standard mode.
While the price is on the higher side, the performance justifies it for those looking to upgrade their home theater. Plus, you don’t need to run wires or buy a receiver. I highly recommend this soundbar. It is one of the best I’ve heard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who loves great audio but doesn’t get too caught up in the technical side of things, the Samsung HW-Q990F is easily the best soundbar I’ve ever used. It takes movie nights, gaming, and music to another level with its immersive sound and smart features.
Right out of the box, it delivers room-filling surround sound that makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the action. Explosions have weight, dialogue is crystal clear, and background details come through in a way that brings everything to life. It’s truly like having a high-end home theater without the hassle of setting up a bunch of speakers. My older video games feel brand new playing them through this sound bar, I can hear even the smallest details going o in the background of the game play.
One of the best things about this soundbar is its wireless Dolby Atmos. It creates a 3D sound experience where effects move above and around you, making everything feel more realistic. Paired with a Samsung TV, it gets even better thanks to Q-Symphony, which expands the soundstage and makes everything more immersive.
The bass is deep and powerful, but not overpowering. Samsung has included an extra subwoofer to help balance things out, and it really makes a difference. You get that satisfying rumble in action scenes or while listening to music, but it never drowns out voices or other details.
Another cool feature is the AI-driven sound tuning. It automatically adjusts based on your room’s acoustics and even enhances dialogue in noisy environments. For gamers, the Game Mode Pro makes sure you hear every footstep and explosion with pinpoint accuracy.
If you want a soundbar that delivers top-tier audio without needing to be an expert to appreciate it, the HW-Q990F is absolutely worth it. It’s a must-have for anyone who wants a powerful, hassle-free upgrade to their home entertainment setup whether you are passionate about video games, your favorite song or for an upgrade on movie night.

Great sound system

I am usually not too big into sound systems and TVs but I truly notice a difference since upgrading to this system. The system is truly immersive with surround sound that makes an incredible experience no matter if you’re watching movies, TV, or gaming. I feel blown away by action movies and it feels like you are right there. My TV is another brand so I don’t get access to qsymphony or wireless Dolby atmos connection but I still truly enjoy the system. The space fit pro makes a customized experience for your room and the subwoofer is compact but very powerful. The subwoofer produces base that’s very powerful and enhances whatever you are watching. When listening to music Bluetooth connection is easy to my phone and the sound grouping feature for the rear speakers enhances the audio so that everyone in the room has a pleasant listening experience. Overall a great intro system for someone looking to upgrade but have easy set up.

Expensive but great with Samsung TV

It works seamlessly with newer Samsung TVs which is excellent and important (previous generations of Samsung and other brands were clunky integrations sometimes). It is expensive but sound quality is as good as an Amp and stereo setup. Look for a sale or bundle.

The Sound of Music

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I underestimated how this sound bar was going to change the way i watched TV, listened to music, or watched movies. This is the ultimate surround sound! I was simply amazed by the sound that came from this sound system. This is for a movie room but the fact that i have it in my bedroom made it even more of an experience. I paired this with the OLED S95F for the Q-Symphony feature. I LOVE IT! As almost any guy will hear the saying thats to loud. I take that as a badge of honor because watching this with any movie has been an experience. The 11.1.4 full surround comes thru in full effect and is perfect for any show. Did i mention it connects to my phone and music apps? Well let me tell you it does with perfect integration. I cant wait to get home and find something to watch, anything to watch just for the sound alone. The rear speakers are paired perfectly with this system and the sub packs on some serious bass. The quality of the sound is what is most impressive. I have not had to turn it up half way yet and the settings make the smallest adjustment perfect. I cant wait to invite company over just so they can get a change to experience at home movie theater sound at the control of your fingertips. I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade or just looking for the finishing touch to their home theater.

THE IMMERSION, THE BASS, THE CLARITY—IT’S ALL THERE. IF YOU WANT CINEMA-LEVEL SOUND WITHOUT THE HEADACHE OF COMPLEX SETUPS, THIS IS THE ONE TO GET. THE SUBWOOFER IS AMAZING! GREAT COMPACT SETUP THAT PACKS A REALLY GREAT BASS. IT'S SMALL THAT IT CAN FIT IN TIGHT SPACES AND MAKE THE LIVING ROOM SPACE LOOK SEAMLESS. THE TWO BACK SPEAKERS CAN BE MOUNTED ON A STAND TO CREATE A COMPLETE DOLBY EXPERIENCE. THE MAIN SOUNDBAR CAN BE EITHER WALL MOUNTED OR PLACED FLAT ON A SURFACE AS WELL.
