[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sounded crisp clear with a mix of that bass im always playing around with to get it exactly right superb product pricey yes but samsung done their job now im not sure about other top brands being better but I loved those one superb job well done samsung
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great experience with ease of set up. Sound quantity is beautiful as an audio engineer myself I was very impressed. Would recommend to any one audiophile or music head or movie lover who likes great and amazing sound quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sounds good, clarity is great, however the base could be much better and the sound is definitely not a room filling or immersion. Like the connectivity with samsung phones.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, I paired my rear speakers with Kanto SPH adjustable speaker stands from Crutchfield to further optimize the surround imaging from my Q990F. Optimized speaker placement paired with my NEO QLED 8K offers stellar viewing and sound reinforcement, the lows and highs and clarity, well it is slick! At this price point the visual and sound imaging is second to none. Samsung simplified the cable placement though the use of Bluetooth connectivity. I own a Shure Surround 5 amp system with 2 sub, 4 rears, and 3 center front speakers 1 LS 1 RS, the cables and system are now in storage.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best surround sound speaker i have ever used. It connects seamlessly and produce an immersive surround sound. It was extremely easy to calibrate and add a lot of clarity to every dialogue.
The soundbar under the latest firmware reboots randomly every day, sometimes more than once a day. I have auto update enabled and it's connected to the internet. Nothing i do makes any difference as others have mentioned and as an easily googlable reddit thread references the same problem under the current latest firmware. You can wait for it to reboot or pull the power and plug back in to expedite the reboot. Either way, for how much this costs, it's not acceptable. To clarify, this is not a satellite speaker connectivity issue, or some input connectivity issue. The soundbar has some sort of failure causing it to trigger a reboot. All we can seemingly do is wait and hope for a firmware update to fix this, unless this is some bad lot with a hardware problem. Other than this deal breaker issue, it's been great
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Cellsafemode,
Thank you for taking a few moment to review the Samsung HW-Q990F Soundbar.
Here are some troubleshooting steps to try.
First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
If this still does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.
While the Soundbar is On, press both the Vol+ and Vol- buttons on the unit simultaneously until the display shows "INIT", then release. If this doesn’t work, then try using the remote control: While the Soundbar is ON, press and hold the SOUND CONTROL ("Gear") button on the Soundbar remote for 10 seconds. You will see "150HZ" on the display. Keep pressing until you see "INIT" on the display, then release.
