[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use our Freestyle for watching movies and games when there are a lot of guests over. Especially around football season, the guys will project it onto our outdoor screen.
We've noticed lately that it runs hot and that it's not performing as well as it did. Given that we don't use it very often, I'm not particularly pleased with that aspect. It is a convenient little device.
I wish it could be cordless for.more functionality and autonomy, but it works for what it works for.

LifewithLexi,
Thank you for your review of The Freestyle 2nd Gen. Watching content for an extended period of time can cause the unit to generate heat, which is released through the vents on the projector. The vents may feel hot to the touch when the projector has been used for an extended period of time. This heat, however, is not a defect and doesn’t affect functionality. When in use, make sure you maintain a distance of at least 4 inches between the projector and other objects (walls, cabinet sides, etc.) to ensure proper ventilation. Please also keep in mind that with voice recognition always enabled, the projector’s Wi-Fi and microphone modules remain active even when the power is turned off. If you feel heat even when the device is off, turn off AoV (Always on Voice) Mode.
To disable this setting, go to: Menu > Settings > General & Privacy > Voice - Alexa: Turn off Voice Wake-Up - Bixby: Under Bixby wake-up options, select “Only use the Bixby button” or “Additionally saying ‘Hi Bixby’”.

Exceptional size and blew my expectations out of the water. I was able to cast the entire wall in one of my bedrooms as a movie theater size picture. The volume on the projection it self is perfect for a decent sized room. I was also able to pair the projector with Bluetooth to a Samsung sound bar and surround sound which made it really sound like a movie theater. The only room for improvement would be the Lumens of the projection, in aspect I thought it could be a-little brighter, but again not to shabby for a device the size of a Amazon Alexa.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung The Freestyle projector is a compact and versatile device that offers impressive performance for its size. Its portability makes it easy to set up anywhere, whether you’re at home, camping, or visiting friends. The image quality is surprisingly good, with bright colors and sharp 1080p resolution, even when projected onto various surfaces.
In my experience, it worked well for movies, with clear detail and good contrast in both dark and light scenes. The built-in 360° speaker provides decent audio, though adding an external speaker can improve the overall sound experience. The auto-focus and auto-leveling features are convenient, quickly adjusting the image for an optimal viewing experience without much hassle.
It also works well for casual gaming, though it’s not a substitute for a high-end gaming monitor or TV due to some input lag. As a smart projector, it has built-in streaming apps, which makes accessing your favorite content easy without needing external devices.
Overall, the Samsung The Freestyle is a solid choice for those looking for a portable projector with good picture quality and useful smart features, perfect for casual movie nights or travel.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This projector is a must for movie enthusiasts. The picture and audio are outstanding for a device not much bigger then a pop can! Very good brighten and quality. User interface is excellent as well!
