Not worth the money.

Not impressed. Needs to be much brighter for the money. Samsungs operating system is okay but slow and cumbersome. Much better options. I like the look and size shame they missed the mark.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate your feedback on the brightness level. If the image is too dim, try adjusting Picture Mode, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.
Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
Movie: Is suitable for watching Projector or movies in a dark room.
You can also manually fine tune your image under Expert Settings. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings

Good projector with a flaw

It is a good projector for it's size and prize. I also like the way it can integrate with Smart Things and also being portable. But, I hate the way it is leaving a transparent light on the borders of the actual image/picture. I would like to request to release a new software update in which the transparent border will be removed which is so annoying to look at.

1. Remove the film covering the lens, as this can affect performance.
2. Position the device with the “Samsung” logo on the bottom of the unit.
3. Make sure you've got the latest firmware updates installed. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now

Portable, easy to set up and easier to use

We connected it to our phones and linked several streaming services and it was all complete in less than 10 minutes. Great picture quality but nothing less would be expected from a Samsung

Compact, smart, and sharp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Freestyle replaced an older projector, that was 3 times larger. And am very happy that I did.
What I like about freestyle:
It's compact. A quality speaker eliminates the need for an external speaker. And built in wifi and apps eliminates additional cables.
It is smart. When I invite my neighbors for a backyard movie night, I love the way that Freestyle auto-corrects the projection angle. It gives me so much flexibility in positioning the projector
It is sharp. Even with a little daylight, yhe image is clear, sharp, and bright. So we don't have to wait until it is pitch black to enjoy it.
It is fun. Sometimes, kids and I lay on the floor and project the video onto the ceiling. And we also use the features for projecting holiday images outdoor, like Halloween, Christmas. And during parties, we have it playing old photos and videos in the background
