Very well designed, but just not bright enough

Loved everything about it, but even in total darkness, it is too dim when larger than about 60" diag.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate your feedback on The Freestyle 2nd Gen’s brightness. If the image appears too dim, please first ensure your unit is running the latest firmware, as updates may include picture quality enhancements: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now
If brightness is still not to your preference, try adjusting the Picture Mode to better suit your environment: Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
• Dynamic: Brighter and clearer for well-lit spaces
• Standard: Default mode for general viewing
• Movie: Ideal for darker rooms
For more control, you can also fine-tune your image settings under: Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings

Great Portable Projector for Family and Studio Fun

Even at 100 inches, the picture remains sharp and bright, with colors that really pop—something I honestly didn’t expect from a projector this compact.
I currently have it installed in my studio, and it’s become a favorite spot for my kids to watch movies. They love the big-screen feel, and I love that I can easily move it around when needed. The setup is incredibly simple—just plug it in, point it at a wall, and it automatically adjusts the focus and angle perfectly every time.
Another thing I appreciate is how lightweight and portable it is. Whether I’m moving it from the studio to the living room or taking it on a trip, it fits in a small bag and sets up in minutes. The sound quality is surprisingly good for its size, and when paired with an external speaker, it feels like a true theater experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it came time for me to buy a tv, I figured a projector would be a more functional use of my space. This little guy is packed with power. I love the auto-adjust feature.
But like any technology, it's never perfect. The gaming hub does lag a bit, but that's to be expected if not playing on a native console.
Overall a great buy especially if you like a portable feature.
