Great portability and ease of use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the portability and ease of use of the product. It would have been much better if it was a lot brighter, right now the brightness is not sufficient enough to enjoy the picture clarity at its maximum capacity unless it's dark outside.

Freestyle Stopped Working

I bought this Samsung projector in November 2024, and it’s been a disappointment from the start. It barely works in any room with light, and it runs extremely loud. Today I plugged it in, turned it on, and it wouldn’t power on at all.
I registered it when I purchased it, but Samsung’s system shows the warranty expired in March 2025, which would mean I bought it in March 2024. That’s not accurate. Because of this, they’re telling me it’s out of warranty, even though I know when I purchased it.
Now I’m stuck paying someone to diagnose and repair a projector that won’t even turn on. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not worth the money.

Not impressed. Needs to be much brighter for the money. Samsungs operating system is okay but slow and cumbersome. Much better options. I like the look and size shame they missed the mark.

We appreciate your feedback on the brightness level. If the image is too dim, try adjusting Picture Mode, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.
Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
Movie: Is suitable for watching Projector or movies in a dark room.

You can also manually fine tune your image under Expert Settings. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings

In almost every what it is perfect. My only issue that kept me from 5 starts OS. it is very slow and laggy. i have to disconnect and reconnect a lot of times when it's lagging to fininish an operation.

We appreciate your feedback on the response time, and for optimal performance, we ask that you please ensure you've got the latest firmware version installed on your Freestyle 2nd Gen. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care

A cinema without darkness will never be one.

I've been using it for 3 months, I didn't think it would look so good and HUGE. It has 2 disadvantages: when you turn it on, it's slow to display the menu and it needs darkness to enjoy it. It works great and the best of all is the size, super portable. I never thought I'd watch movies in more than 100" and much less on the ceiling. The sound is quite good, the definition and auto-adjustment to find the best way to project. The Bluetooth community, works with all my audio devices: headphones, speakers, home theater. I'm amazed by its solar remote control, simple and very easy to use.
