Very enjoyable but definitely not perfect.

I bought this about a month ago and have enjoyed it a lot so far. It's portability and easy of use are great, but it's far from a perfect device. Don't be confused, it needs to be used in a dark(ened) room to have an acceptable picture!. The auto keystone is almost never perfect. It gets it close most of the times, but sometimes you'll have to wobble it a few times before it's ok. I find the home page cluttered and not customizable enough. And please, Samsung, please add a function to turn off/block projection and use it as a speaker only! It has good audio and I like to use it as a wifi speaker to play music but it makes no sense to have it project during such use and waste lamp lifetime. I'm a first time projector user and this is not a device for a permanent, fixed projector setup. Since I move it around the house a lot we just project on the walls and with the keystone correction there is always significant over splash, doesn't look great but you get used to it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thanks for your review of The Freestyle 2nd Gen. We appreciate your feedback on the image and Keystone performance; to ensure your unit is fully optimized, please be sure you're running the latest firmware version. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
To further improve Keystone performance, please also check the following:
1. Make sure you've removed the film covering the lens, as this can affect performance.
2. Position the device with the “Samsung” logo on the bottom of the unit.
Please know that your Projector does indeed feature a "speaker only" function - this is called Picture Off and can be enabled by going to All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility > Picture Off. This allows you to turn off the Projector screen and provide only sound to reduce overall power consumption.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freestyle is extremely portable!! (I even bought the carrying case!) And can be operated off a really big portable battery pack! I love how easy it is to focus and customize your viewing pleasure. The software is more like the TV with tablet type of features. Can be used with any modern Samsung remote in the event you miss place yours.
It even connects to your portable speakers to amplify the user experience!
I absolutely love this thing!

I can take anywhere; camping, vacation or trips.
The quality of videonis pretty good too.
I gave 4 stars because, the video quality at bright condition is bad. I couldn't see the screen.
However, worth the money.
