Making it and all in one portable entertainment system as well as a 3d movie theater experience that its determined to make learning and presentations more enjoyable.

Great features but poor brightness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The projector is great for portability, versatile settings, and usability. Where it falls short is lumens. The low brightness of this projector kills all the great things it has going for it. Because of the low lumens, to really appreciate this projector one has to use it in a dark room with no uncovered windows nearby. Its not truly a portable projector unless everywhere youre going with it is dark. Perhaps in the next generation they will provide a brighter light source. But until they do we recommend waiting on buying a freestyle.

We appreciate your feedback on The Freestyle 2nd Gen’s brightness. If the image appears too dim, please first ensure your unit is running the latest firmware, as updates may include picture quality enhancements: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now
If brightness is still not to your preference, try adjusting the Picture Mode to better suit your environment: Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
• Dynamic: Brighter and clearer for well-lit spaces
• Standard: Default mode for general viewing
• Movie: Ideal for darker rooms
For more control, you can also fine-tune your image settings under: Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings

Years Later and Still Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned The Freestyle 2nd Gen for about 3–4 years and have genuinely loved it. It’s been incredibly versatile — perfect for travel, outdoor movie nights, and quick setups anywhere in the house. The brightness and projection quality have always impressed me for such a compact device, and it’s super easy to adjust and reposition.
Would give it 4.5 stars instead of 5 because one of the plastic screws that attaches the projector to the base eventually broke, so I can’t securely attach it anymore. That said, this happened after several years of use, and the projector itself still works perfectly.
Overall, it’s been a fantastic little projector, and I’m excited to see what the next updated model brings.
