great but glitchy

bought this in december, after returning the first model (it was pre owned and bought through best buy) because it was glitchy. i love this one BUT it too has begun to get glitchy. recommend if using occasionally and not daily. type of glitches? while watching anything netflix, samsung tv, prime videos, it will begin to skip audio. it gets annoying to listen to. my guess is dusty parts? i tried cleaning it with a LEAF-BLOWER. also there was no dust on exterior prior to blowing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care

No option to disable Samsung TV Plus

The fact that you can't remove or disable Samsung TV Plus on this projector makes it so frustrating to use. Each time you turn the projector on, a TV Channel will start playing, without any option to prevent it. Such a frustrating experience...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While your Freestyle 2nd Gen may currently default to Samsung’s TV Plus app, please know you can choose what your Projector does when you turn it on by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Start Screen Option
1) Enabling Start with Smart Hub Home automatically launches Smart Hub when the Projector is turned on. Navigate to this option to enable or disable the feature.
2) If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app is automatically run when you turn on the Projector. You can turn this function on or off by pressing the Select button in the current menu.

Wish you offered a Free Style gen 1 trade in..

Sounds good, but you don't offer a trade in for those of us who bought the first free style. The 🐌 SLOW one, built a room around the first free style and now you release a new gen 2 with "gaming hub" you just made it fast because the first free style is super laggie. Now I'm not just being a hater every piece of electronics in my home is samsung.

I am glad that I purchased this projector. After reading the reviews I decided to try it and I am not disappointed. The only issue that I have is that the cap won't stay on. It keeps popping off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use, portable and very high quality. The Samsung Freestyle 2nd Gen with Gaming Hub is an evolution in projector technology. I own numerous projectors including an expensive true 4k projector. The build and picture quality in the Freestyle is top notch. I am extremely impressed that Samsung was able to pack so much into such a small package. I enjoy the outdoors, now when sitting outside by the fire with my wife and kids we can enjoy the best of what the web and streaming services have to offer. Whether we are in the mood for a family movie, a documentary or some outdoor gaming, the Samsung Freestyle 2nd Gen with Gaming Hub allows us the freedom and flexibility to take our favorite shows, pictures, documentaries, movies and now games wherever our travels may take us. This is a wonderful and expertly crafted product. I highly recommend this product.

Good projector with a flaw

It is a good projector for it's size and prize. I also like the way it can integrate with Smart Things and also being portable. But, I hate the way it is leaving a transparent light on the borders of the actual image/picture. I would like to request to release a new software update in which the transparent border will be removed which is so annoying to look at.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2. Position the device with the “Samsung” logo on the bottom of the unit.
