I purchase this for my wife as a replacement for her Garmin whose watch band disintegrated and she had always had problems operating. Since she has a Samsung Galaxy phone I figured it would be an easy switch for her, and I was right. The only currently recognized draw back to this watch is the battery life. My wife's Garmin would last for four days on a charge. The watch 7 is lucky if it gets 2 days. It's very difficult to gauge sleep and movement when you have to constantly take your watch off to charge.
I've always had a Fitbit. This is my first Samsung watch and I'm very happy with it. It provides me with so much information. I do have to charge it every day or two depending on the type of day it has since it's connected to Google.
While the watch it does what it supposed to do I find that the battery life is not that great. I had Samsung watch in the past, one of the first ones, about 8 years ago, but the battery lasted longer. You have to make sure you charge it at least once a day. The good think is that charges fairly quick.
More features would be available to me if I had a Samsung phone, but I'm a Pixel user. I'm happy with the features that do work on my phone. Connects well to FitOn which is my workout app.
