Battery is an issue

I got Galaxy watch 7 replacing my Galaxy watch 4. Functionality is definitely better but the battery life not good. It almost takes twice the time to charge compared to my previous model and the battery dies a lot faster.

So far, I'm in love. It looks great, the screen is incredible, the software experience is better than that of the Pixel Watch 2 I owned before this, and the health tracking features are great. The fact that it uses standard bands instead of some weird proprietary method is such a plus as a watch enthusiast. And the battery life is awesome too, better than the Pixel Watch 2. I put it on around 7:30 AM and take it off around 11-12 PM daily, and despite Always On Display, using it for health tracking, texting, internet searches, notifications, and even calls, I usually have 40%+ battery left. Meaning just a brief charge at some point would make this thing last 2 days Overall I love this thing so far, I would 100% recommend it.
Trade-In value was a little lower than I expected but the upgrade from the Frontier3 to the Galaxy 7 has been a great improvement. It isn't as bulky and very user friendly. I use it mainly for fitness/swimming and the ability to stay water-safe is amazing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than my GW4 Classic
on November 12, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I switched from my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic to my Galaxy Watch 7 because almost all of the features it has made me want to upgrade. The Galaxy AI added so many cool new features! The battery life is much better, the screen is so much clearer and cleaner looking than my GW4. The performance is much smoother. I'm very happy that I upgraded. Even when I turn on the Always On Display the battery still makes it 37 hours. Without it I get around 53 hours. I am so happy that I upgraded. It is a definite improvement! If you have the chance to it!
Watch is overall good. However, it drains battery too too quickly. Thats the only issue so far I have noticed.

Charging is difficult, looks nice though

I bought this to replace a gear s3 frontier which finally had battery failure. Wish it had been more up front about charging limitations. Can't charge from my phone which makes using it on trips pointless. Plus the charging cable is fixed and too short to reach my table. Also can't use my existing charger because it is usb A and the cable is usb C. At this point I might replace the battery in my old watch and use it instead. This new one is too much of a hassle.
