Love the watch itself, but the battery life is pretty terrible. One day of use and it has to be charged. I basically have a routine now where I get up in the morning and have to charge it everyday after I get my sleep metrics. I have other watches that last more than a week, so this is my barometer.
Other than that, its light, well made, nice bright screen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the watch! Coming from a Watch 4, I like the new band, and the battery life seems to be much beeter than my 4.
My critical feedback is that being 3 generations newer, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of differences. Also, really wish Samsung Wear app supported standalone routines for the watch, not ones only dependent on your phone's status.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had many samsung watches, this one constantly over heats. The battery life is garbage unless you turn everything off (wifi, location, Bluetooth).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Health monitoring

The health app is a joke. 1. You can set the time for the activity but not the intensity; there is not a chart that takes your biometrics and correlates the calories burned. 2. The notification for inactivy can't be changed, it is set at 50min, that is a long time not to get up and move. 3. The calorie calculator does not sync with most apps and does not calculate macronutrients like other apps; If you have an app that tracks your macronutrient goals for the DV (say how much B12 you got that day and how much you need by the end of the day), recipes and familiar foods (for quick entry), you will not get this information. Inversely, other nutrition apps that need the activity levels to calculate your nutritional needs are not allowed to import your activity from the galaxy watch.

Excellent battery life!

I'm not really sure why so many people say the battery life is terrible. When I charge my watch at 6:30 a.m., I still have at least 25% around 1:00 p.m. the next day. This is with normal use including tracking a workout, making a phone call, sending text messages. And all the other little taps here and there to view my information. The battery is equivalent to the Google pixel that I had previously. So to sum it up, it's a great watch! And I would definitely recommend it.
