The guitar looks beautiful. Only issue with getting an acoustic guitar is that you can't adjust the bridge for tuning issues at the octave level. If you don't have perfect pitch it probably won't be an issue. Still fine to learn to read music and learn technique. If I really stick with learning the Bass I will have to buy a better quality electric later.

This is ridiculously good for the price. I've been playing for 25+ years and this is still fun to play.

One of the nicest acoustic basses ive played at a fraction of the price. plays like a $200-$400 bass. my issue is finding a case that it fits in smaller than most basses but bigger than the new mini basses. overall way nicer than expected for the price

This bass guitar came in sooner than expected, and regurdless of the negitive reviews this product is getting, 4 stars, after re-setting the truss rod and adjusting the volume/mixing controls. This guitar is just fine.

I bought this based on good reviews and price. I wanted it just for noodling on in now and then and the occasional acoustic jam.
Once upon a time I was a passable bassist in a gospel/praise band, and I am experienced at fixing electric instruments.
The fit and finish of this bass are mind blowing for the price.
Right out of the box, the instrument is useless. The action is unplayable, and the intonation is wildly off. This is because the bridge saddle is narrower than its groove, so the saddle tilts toward the neck, which goofs up the ratio of the open length to the twelfth fret length. The saddle is also to high.
The included strings are useless as well. They lose their tune in an hour.
Plugged in, it sounds like flatulence.
However...
I filed down the saddle and shimmed it so it was vertical. I adjusted the truss rod. I was able to get the intonation and action more than satisfactory. I replaced the strings and snugged up the hardware in the tuning keys.
Now the instrument plays easily, stays in tune, and sounds good, both acoustically and amplified.
In short, if you can set it up and put decent strings on it, you'll have a bass that plays well and sounds good. Not just good for what it costs; it's objectively good, and way better than it should be govern its cost.
If you don't have the ability to get it properly set up, I would advise getting a more expensive instrument that is ready to play out of the box.

So hey. I’m kinda new at this sort of thing. I did grow up playing music in the bands and orchestra. Mostly woodwinds. I did always want to play some strings. So finally I do. I’ve been at the guitar for a little while now. And it’s very exciting to find an opportunity to study bass. This instrument seems very fundamental and good to me. So I’m excited about it. Good deal for starting out. Thing is, as I’ve been practicing,... I just kinda noticed that I can’t seem to get the High A note to speak as well as I’d like. I mean everything sounds great. But I’m going to have my guitar shop buddies take a look at the fret there. Something isn’t quite right. I bet it just needs a little adjustment. That’s a pretty sweet note if you can fit it in a solo. But of course that deep bass and fundamental sound is what it’s really about. !!!
