Phenomenal picture quality, no MLB app

The picture quality is fantastic, and as a true OLED you see the same brightness and contrast no matter how far off to the side you are viewing, which is a big plus in my situation. The Google TV U/I is pretty nice as well. I cannot load the MLB app, however, which is really a downside for me.

I bought this replacing my z9k because I couldn't get over the blooming. I am missing the 8k and size but the quality more than makes up it. The stream of updates only improve the already great set. Bravia cam is super cool as long as the I formation remains private! I wish the schannel could work regardless of the setup situation because I want to use the TV as a center channel with my existing Yamaha setup. This TV is bright, perfect dark when needed and no blooming. PS5 games look and perform stellar. Of course I wish there were more HDMI 2.1 ports or at least move the (e)arc to another port but I'm managing. Thanks Sony!

Great picture, buggy software

What a disappointment! I’ve experience several issues which appear software related but I can’t tolerate this screen defect which occurred three times in a couple of weeks (see photos). Sony so far hasn’t offered an idea what this problem is.

An amazing tv and control system

I hand picked the A95L after careful review of all the OLED TV’s on the market. The reviews i read were independent and they all were very positive about this new platform of Sony’s and they all were in sync on the cost being the most expensive. After making my selection i turned the purchasing and installation over to a local A/V/Network Compay, TEK-It to install. The results were nothing short of amazing. Extremely buggy, amazing picture

Within the span of two weeks, the following problems occurred at separate times: no external audio, no picture, multiple times it reset on its own, stuttering video playback, does not power up and gives five red blinking lights, and inconsistent lighting with dolby vision. After troubleshooting with power cycling, removing HDMI connections, etc., I have currently gotten it to a point where when I turn it on and it throws up a small external audio notice (about 80% of the time, which had often lead to a later reset or other issue), I wait like 15 seconds and turn it off, and then wait 20 seconds or so and turn it back on. So far... it now mostly works in that manner with a single source. I cannot use any other source (HDMI or onboard the TV), or use TV audio, for fear of the dreaded resets or it refusing to power up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
