The only bad thing to say about this tv is it’s very buggy with some DV issues going on, amongst a few other minor things that I know will be fixed with a fw update. On to the good - this blows my old A80j out of the water. Finally hdr the ways it’s supposed to look! Bright, colorful, extremely sharp. HDR movies have taken on a whole new life with this set, SDR is more colorful and bright. Upscaling is excellent as is with all Sony tvs. Once the engineers send out a few fw updates to address the minor bugs going on right now this will be the best tv I’ve ever seen, it pretty much already is. No regrets!

Yes this tv is very expensive, believe me I know. I’m a disabled veteran who has to live off my disability so I had to save up little by little for over a year to finally get one , so this is especially special for me. I am a life long Sony tv user but I never had the top Sony tv out there and in my mind best tv out of all the brands! This tv really has all the bells and whistles that you could ever imagine and more! The one big thing that everyone always complains about is that OLED tvs are too dark compared to LEDs, well Sony fixed that because now you can control the brightness with low or high and boom, your tv picture is so much brighter now especially on Dolby Vision dark. Truly amazing. In fact it has a whole ton of new picture controls that I had to look up on the internet just to see what they were. And it has 2 4k 120 ports for you to use. My only complaint out of this incredible smart tv is that some external devices will not work even with the regular ports. For example, my very expensive hue sync box set up will not work. It has some crazy problem with Dolby vision and nobody seems to have an answer for the problem. And on that subject some apps like for example, paramount will not come in on Dolby vision. Just something to think about before you buy. I mean, look, SDR comes in so amazing you have to check to see if it’s in Dolby vision and one could argue that it looks about the same but still, if you have to spend all that hard earned money on the very best tv out there you would hope you would not have these problems at all even if it might be the other companies fault. But even with that all said this tv is absolutely amazing and for me I can get over those small issues to completely appreciate this amazing tv and picture. The sound is pretty cool too. I have a incredible stereo system with a Yamaha a8a and RP IIs Klipsch speakers and full Dolby atmos so I can’t comment to much on the tv sound but one cool thing is some of the Sony sound bars and receivers can use the entire smart tv as a center speaker which is pretty darn cool! If you can afford it this the number one tv out there very best Sony QD-OLED that has ever been made! It is one of the few things that I have ever encountered that actually lives up to the hype!

For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the TV is up-to-date.
If the HDMI signal format/VRR of the HDMI input is set to Enhanced format (4K120), some devices may not be able to output Dolby Vision video. Try the following steps:
-Change the settings to Enhanced Format: 1. On the TV remote control, press the Quick Settings button. 2. Select Settings → Channels & Inputs → External inputs → HDMI signal format/VRR. 3. Select the HDMI input number connected to the Dolby Vision device, then select Enhanced format.
-If the connected device has a Dolby Vision output Off/On function, set it to On.
-Turn the connected device off, then back on (reboot).
For streaming services apps (Netflix®, Prime Video™, etc.), the streaming app, and selected content must support the Dolby Vision format. In most situations, there is a logo or tag that will indicate that the content is available in the Dolby Vision format. You can also try updating the streaming apps that you're having issues with.
To confirm Dolby Vision content reception, check the Picture Mode setting on the TV:
-Select Home → Settings and then, depending on your TV >Select Display & Sound → Picture → Picture Mode >Select Picture & Display → Picture Adjustments → Picture Mode
-The Dolby Vision setting will show as selected if activated and available

This is an amazing TV it's picture is simply beautiful. However there are a few issues with audio passthrough, which usually require you to turn off eARC, then back on, sometimes having to go all the way through the menu to get to the restart tv option, since powering off for some reason doesn't truly power off but rather puts in stand-by. The remote also sometimes stops working right after you turn on the TV with it, and wont work until you remove and re-insert the batteries. Re-pairing the remote doesn't seem to fix this either; but they are software updatable so hopefully this is fixed soon. Screen saver time is fixed, and returns to the home screen on return which is a pain.

This is not the experience we want you to have. Please allow us to troubleshoot and turn this to a better once. You said turning off the TV won't resolve the concern and the TV just puts on a standby mode. Have you tried doing a restart or power reset on the TV? If not, please follow these steps.
Restart: Using the supplied remote control. -Point the remote control to the illumination LED or status LED and press and hold the POWER button of the remote control for about 5 seconds, or until a message Power off appears. -The TV should restart automatically. Wait for approximately one minute, and the TV will turn back on. If it does not reboot, press the POWER button on the remote control to turn on the TV Restart using the TV menu. Depending on your TV and using the remote. -Press (Quick Settings) → Settings → System → Restart → Restart -Press HOME → Settings → About → Restart → Restart -Press HOME → Settings → Device Preferences → About → Restart → Restart Power Reset If you unplug and plug in the power cable, it may have the same effect as the reset steps above. If the situation does not change after pressing the POWER button on the remote control, try the following steps. If you leave the TV with the power cord disconnected, the electricity that remains in the unit will be discharged. As a result, unnecessary data and error information in the memory will return to their defaults, and allow you to use the TV again normally.
Turn off the TV. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet. Let the television remain without power for 2 minutes. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.

First step, using the TV remote control, perform a soft reset. Point the remote control at the illumination LED or status LED. On the remote control, press and hold the POWER button for at least 5 seconds or until a Power off message appears.
Notes: - The TV restarts automatically. Wait for approximately one minute and the TV will turn back on. - If after one minute the TV does not restart, on the remote control, press the POWER button to turn on the TV. - Some models have a physical power switch that allows a power cycle. I am incredibly disappointed with this purchase. The brightness while watching sports does not stay bright. I have tried all recommendations but nothing appears to address the issue. In doing research online, it appears to be a common issue.
If you like watching football, or sports in general, I highly recommend that you do not purchase this TV.
