I've had high-end Sony TVs for decades. The picture quality is exceptional, as one expects at this price point. However, you practically need a PHD in electronics to set it up and use it. (And I have watched numerous YouTube videos trying to uncover its secrets). Menus are complicated and seem to appear and disappear at will. Warnings abound about burn-in susceptibility on this OLED, but there doesn't seem to be a way to fill the screen with a picture that displays the dreaded 'black bars'. I've tried every picture/display setting I can find--nothing will completely fill the screen when watching an older movie or tv show. Sometimes you can get at certain menu options, sometimes you can't. For a couple of days the tv suddenly wouldn't recognize my Roku stick-then it magically did. Sometimes the sound gets out of sync, then eventually gets back in sync. (and it is up to date on firmware updates). It's quite frustrating. It's wonderfully slim, but the HDMI ports are so jammed in to accomodate the slimness that I can only use a streaming stick if I leave off the portion of the back panel that covers the ports. The feet for the stand are sturdy, but there should be more than one height setting when attaching them in the center position to accommodate putting a soundbar in front of the TV. The 'electric eye' for the on/off function is so low on the bottom that you can barely put a toothpick in front of it without blocking the remote from turning it on.

Image retention(is temporary), screen burn-in can be permanent and can occur on most televisions if an image is continuously displayed for a long period of time or the same image is repeatedly displayed. This is due to the characteristics of the materials used to achieve high-definition imaging. To help protect your TV screen Sony has features that are enabled out of the box. 1. Pixel shift. 2. Automatic brightness adjust for static images. 3. When the tv is turned off it will go thru a short screen refresh so when the tv is powered back on it looks it best. Avoid using images that may cause image retention.

The audio and video from the set are as described in your literature, It is absolutely impressive, so I will not have anything new to add here. The surprise for me was how easy it was to get everything set up and running. You just turn it on, follow the instructions for WiFi connection and the rest is all pretty straightforward. I had a Sonos Dolby Atmos surround sound system on my old TV, which was easily recognized by my Sony and instantly produced a far more robust output than our old set did. Everything about this set is first class. Yes, you do get what you paid for when you invest in this Sony.
