Quick and easy set up to seal in moments

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to follow instructions. This has everything you need to get started and quickly. Wanted to start with something with a little more substance then will be using with more liquid leftovers. This is excellent for sealing meat and freezing food.

I bought this product last week! When I try and plug it in it makes a sound before I even power in the device. My guesses it’s due to a power supply issue

Looks good but didn’t work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as gift from my children & grandchildren. They chose this for me so I could prepare meals then individually vacuum seal them to store in freezer. This method would be much better than plastic bowls which develop freezer burn quickly. However, this expensive unit was dead on arrival. Power light or any of the panel lights would not turn on and it just emitted a clicking noise. Also the drip pan was missing which according to previous reviews happens frequently. As a senior, I would have enjoyed this food saver.
Needless to say, I had to give the gift back so it could be returned.

I haven't been able to try the liquid function yet. I like that it takes up less counter space than my previous 5600 series. I don't like how the bag cutter works with the roll stored on the back, because you have to pull the roll through the lid, seal, pull it the rest of the way and cut it off. When you do this, it pushes down on the lid activating it to seal again before you've filled the bag. So you have to quickly shut it off and proceed with cutting off the bag.

A great product does it all. I purchased because I make lots of stocks and soups. With this liquid feature I do not have to pre freeze and that made storage easier. The unit is easy to use and options are same as the older models. I also like the bag sealing / cutting feature. This is if using a roll you seal the end of the roll. Then pull out the length of the bag you want press the sealing button and as it’s sealing cut the bag off roll and your next bag already has the initial seal made. So if you are storing a product you can ready your bags easier. I very highly recommend this new model especially if you store liquids.
