[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a product that makes my life much easier, I can store frozen food with the assurance that it will last for a long time and there will also be no unwanted spills. The package includes a roll of vacuum packaging bags regardless of the size of the product and several bags of different sizes for smaller products. The machine can vacuum package and also seals the bag and cuts it. It is very useful, practical and easy to use. I love it and recommend it even for carrying food on long road trips without spills.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It works, sometimes takes forever to seal and the bag slider that cuts the bags keeps popping up and won’t cut. Now I can’t even get it back in the machine! Wish I would’ve bought the one I originally had.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Piece of junk !!!

I bought this about 2 weeks ago. `We had a 5800 model before this and really enjoyed what it did with a lot of simplicity and ease of use. This piece of junk is a pain to make bags with, and a pain to vac and seal. The best place for this piece of junk is in the trash. Bring back the 5800 series that is faster to make bags and vac and seal

Game changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are so excited about this food saver. It has helped us so much with meal prepping. We have a very busy life and time consuming extracurricular activities. Now we can plan and prepare food ahead of time. Saving us a lot of headache during the week. It is very easy to use. The kids have even gotten a kick out of it. The process of prepping the bags, filling the bags, and sealing the bags is quick and seamless.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this today dor a replacement in a different model which was under warranty: It is a piece of junk!!
you need 4 hand to work this thing, that is not me, and it does work, it won't vacuum;

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We recommend the following troubleshooting steps as they may help resolve this issue:
1. Make sure the open end of the bag is resting entirely inside the vacuum channel. The edge of the bag should not go beyond the vacuum channel. Do not make your own side seams for a FoodSaver bag. They are manufactured with special side seams sealed all the way to the outer edge.
3. Check the bag for leaks. Seal the bag with some air in it. Submerge it in water and apply pressure. Bubbles indicate a leak. If the bag has a leak, a new bag is needed.
4. We recommend you pre-freeze meats and other moist foods for 1-2 hours before vacuum sealing. Excess liquids from moist foods can cause the unit to not vacuum, and permanent damage can occur.

Worst ever!!!

This is my far the worst vacuum sealer that I have owned. Had one for 15 years, it worked great so when it finally died I decided to try this one and I am completely utterly disappointed in it. Horrible product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All the new features are wonderful upgrades. I have been using Foodsaver Vacuum sealers for 25 years started in 1998 and they get better and better,The automatic close and lock and it is also a spacesaver. The ability to do liquid and being able to seal one bag while cuuting the previous one and even an auto shut off. The only complaint I have is that the new one is slower than on old one.

I just love this upgrade for me. Takes less counter space and now I don't have soup all over my counter. I buy in bulk and there is only me, so I need a good storage system. Now I have a Instant prepared meal, mainly because I mostly cook for 4(still cooking as if my grown family was still at home).I rarely throw away food now. I can Instantly Bag, Refrigerate or Freeze and the bags take up little space compared to putting soups and vegetables in containers .
I would recommend this to a friend!
