i really want to like this new machine but first I had to return the first one because it would not work at all, now this one for some reason does not sense the bag I keep moving it around inside where the sensors are and it is like a hit or miss thing. I will have to call customer service again

For the past few years I’ve been using a bottom of the line base model that I purchased through a large retailer. When I saw this new unit I knew I would have to purchase it. I made my purchase when it was on sale and couldn’t be happier that I did.

Finally had the opportunity to use this. The feature of being able to seal the bottom of the next bag while cutting the previous one is a time saver. The sealing process was very easy with no guessing in where you should start to vacuum seal the bag since it senses where the top of the bag is and begins to seal it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have owned a Food Saver since the late1990s. Wow what changes. The new Food Saver is so easy to use. I was amazed at how quiet it is. I like that I no longer have to hold the lid down to start the vacuum. I haven’t been able to use all of the features yet but, I know I will like them.

Best Foodsaver yet!! Now when I put up fresh tomatoes and vegetables I can cook, cool and pour tomato juice or peas in water cooked in into foodsaver a foodsaver bag, set the liquid setting and foodsaver knows how much to vacuum and stops itself before liquids go over into machine and seals it. I lay bags down flat and freeze. Before I had to put the foodsaver bags upright to freeze overnight and then pull out machine again to vacuum and seal. This new one is such a big TIMESAVER!!!

Tried two of this model, both are junk.

I'm on my second unit. The first stopped responding to button presses. This started about 4 months into using the unit. I returned it and got the same model again. This one lasted about 9 months, then stopped pulling vacuum. When it does pull vacuum, it will never stop and hold the vacuum. If you try to seal the bag, it will slowly start letting air back into the bag. I see no reason to get another version of this inferior product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
