Need to protect cooking elements at bottom

I bought this for Christmas and a piece of cheese fell down into the element. We tried cleaning it many times however the smell is terrible. We tried baking soda scrubbing the elements and even putting it outside to use. The burnt cheese smell continues to prevent us from enjoying our new Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Oven. Do you have any advice?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ninja Foodi 10-in-1 Smart XL Air Fry Oven, Large Countertop Convection Oven is definitely a must have in your kitchen! Let’s begin with you have 10 functions in cooking. Whole fry, Air fry,Air Roast, Bake, Broil, Toast, Pizza, Bagels, reheat foods and yes Dehydrate! For my first journey I choose to air fry a whole chicken and mixed Vegetables { Sweet potato, Squash & carrots choose the 2 level cooking style and wow as you can see. My Lemon pepper Chicken was crispy outside and moist inside along with my veggies were roasted and moist inside delicious! It’s stainless steel, it has a digital display handle, no rotating is required because of the airflow, high velocity fan that will cook your foods evenly. It comes with (2) sheet pans, (2) wire racks, air fry basket, roast tray, crumb tray, foodi smart thermometer, 15-recipe guide book. I was able to bake cookies, biscuits, thin crispy pizza, hot wings, Philly sandwiches, etc and I have to say I’m very pleased. Now is it much larger than my smaller stove oven, absolutely but my smaller oven by no means do what the Ninja foodi can do. So yes it will take a lot of kitchen counter space but I don’t mind because unlike my conventional oven heats up my house the Ninja will not and cooks meals quicker. The highest temperature is 450F., beware that the oven will get very hot on the top and sides, it has 13 cooking functions pluse 6 electronic quartz elements, you can also defrost frozen items. In all so far my experience with the Ninja Foodi oven has been very positive and I’m still experiencing with it. Love my new kitchen toy!

Difficult to Clean

This is a great substitute for my regular oven. Just the right size to cook anything for the two of us. I use it all the time now and haven't used my oven since I bought this. The only negative is I find it very difficult to clean the inside. The splatter, grease, etc. just doesn't come off. I wish the inside walls were made of a non-stick material instead of the stainless (or aluminum?). It's also a bit hard to reach the back walls due to the size and shape. As it stands, the inside is a major mess! Seems that once the splatter is dry it just doesn't come off.

Amazing all in one cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love all the features in this air fryer/convection oven. It comes complete with various pans and racks and a thermometer. I also like the size of it. I like that it preheats itself and then cooks the food at the proper temperature for the time set. The cooking time is less than a regular oven. I made a round pizza in this oven. It is great that you can do your vegetables and meat all at the same time. The features in this oven are unbelievable. You can bake, roast, dehydrate fruit, fry, etc. all in one unit. It also has a crumb catcher. The thermometer is great because it tells you when the meat is done and you take it out and wait 10 mins. and it beeps to tell you the meat is the correct temperature. This is so easy to clean. I would definitely recommend this Convection oven, etc. to anyone.

Only disappointing Ninja product I've ever gotten.

I got a renewed desire to try out this product after the disappointment of trying to love it after i got it. Tried it a few more times in the past month with continued horrible results. Ive tried calling the company as im convinced something is defective on the unit but can never get through..
Here is my original review on Amazon: Have tried so many different ways to use this and still haven't been able to find a reason to like it. Does not hold temperature and either undercooks food or takes twice as long as supposed to and overcooks. So disappointed, I am a big Ninja user and have loved every other product I have. I do not recommend this!

Nice oven!!

I have baked sweet potatoes on the bake selection, made quesadillas on the air fryer mode, and done frozen pizzas on the bake mode. It easily does 2 -12 in pizzas at once. The potatoes baked beautifully and I didn't have to heat my large oven. The air fryer setting crisped and browned my quesadillas nicely. I tried wings and fish but didn't get either as crispy as I liked but that could just be my error. I plan to try again. This is a large oven about the size of a normal microwave. It has many functions and comes with 2 racks, 2 pans and a broiler type pan. You can cook more than one thing at a time which is a huge plus! It is s little noisy but not overly so. You just hear the fan running. So far it has been very easy to clean too.

I have been enjoying my foodi oven. I have only had it a week, but have used it a few times and am learning what all I can cook In it. I am going to like cooking more with it instead of heating up my kitchen with regular oven. It is just the two of us now, so ninja is going to be great.

Great Multi-level Cooking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit has a lot of room for a counter top oven. I love that I can air fry fries and nuggets or two pizzas at the same time and cook a whole chicken or roast in it. However, it does take up a lot of space. My only option was to put it in the corner for it to not take up most of the counter. I've included an image of it in the corner and just straight to show the space. It also has a lot of cook options though, so it can replace several other appliances such as a toaster, a dehydrator, an air fryer, a convection oven, etc. All cook options are easy to use (the control panel on the handle is very intuitive) and the food comes out great, evenly cooked, crispy on the outside but juicy inside. The guides are also helpful and have great suggestions for cooking whole meals all together. Although at first I had a hard time knowing how long things would take using the thermometer and the mains and sides suggestions. I like that it comes with two sheet pans and a roast pan, and the air fry basket which has a tighter mesh good for air frying and dehydrating smaller cut foods. Unfortunately, cleanup for this oven is not as easy as the Ninja Foodi 10-in-1 Pressure Cooker. Surfaces are not as non-stick and crumbs get into the bottom heating units and the seal on the door. Cooking something very greasy, like bacon, also makes a mess and is hard to wipe off of all of the internal surfaces. Overall, I like using this oven and it makes cooking easier and quicker!
