Only disappointing Ninja product I've ever gotten.

I got a renewed desire to try out this product after the disappointment of trying to love it after i got it. Tried it a few more times in the past month with continued horrible results. Ive tried calling the company as im convinced something is defective on the unit but can never get through..
Here is my original review on Amazon: Have tried so many different ways to use this and still haven't been able to find a reason to like it. Does not hold temperature and either undercooks food or takes twice as long as supposed to and overcooks. So disappointed, I am a big Ninja user and have loved every other product I have. I do not recommend this!

This oven seems to do everything as advertised. Roasted whole chickens, vegetables, leftovers, toast, pre-fab meals are easy and delicious. BUT!!! Cleaning this oven is the worst!!! The directions of using detergent and water after each use are laughable because it's totally ineffective. And I am sure the Ninja people know this. Detergent and water will not touch the splattered grease from a whole chicken and other fatty/greasy foods. Because of this I have quit using the oven for anything that splatters a lot. To clean it I ended up using several different products and days of periodic elbow grease to get the oven presentable. This now very much limits what I cook in the Ninja Smart XL which makes me unhappy. Because of this I am hard pressed to recommend. A non-stick interior or self cleaning mode would be a game changer for me.

I’m torn…oven works well, clean-up is a horror

I’ve loved using this oven in the garage during our 90 degree days in San Diego area, but when it comes to cleaning this oven, what a disaster. I’ve worked on it two days now (on and off) and still haven’t gotten the back panel by the fan clean. My hands are like leather for trying to get it clean. I’m diligent about cleaning things down after using (I’m a clean fanatic) but this has been a total challenge. What in the world did they use to make that back panel because it’s NOT user friendly by any means.

Best product ever purchased for the kitchen. My family says I forgot I have a grill or oven. Ha!! There’s nothing this machine can’t do - from fish to potato chips to whole chicken/veggie meals. Also makes the best and juiciest hamburgers perfect to temp. Family was so impressed we ordered one for my sister as a housewarming gift. I may even high five this machine for a job well done :-p

The fry rack does not fit properly in the oven. I has already wore the finish off of the inside of the oven rack slot. The fry rack is too long to fit in the oven properly ( it should slide in freely ). Design problem. Product was not tested properly.

Overall I love it, all the options and everything! I do however have one complaint, it gets dirty extremely easy. I wish there was a way to prevent getting so dirty and stained, I clean it after every use.
