Has anyone else had this problem?

I use my Smart XL Pro every day and as others have reported it is a bear to clean. But that is not my main beef with this oven.
About 6 months ago all of the white lettering on the handle wiped off. Not all at once but slowly, if I touched the lettering while pushing a button it would smudge off. It is completely gone now and I have to use the oven by memory!
I only clean the oven with water and soap as directed by Ninja. (and that is probably why everyone complains how hard it is to clean) I understand it is only a cosmetic flaw but for the price I would think it would be more durable.

HORRIBLE TO CLEAN
on September 14, 2023

VERY DIFFICULT too clean. Ends up smoking and making the food taste awful and after scrubbing with strong cleaners necessary to use, had to cook for a long time to get the cleaning smells out. I spent too much time scrubbing the hard to reach inside with unsatisfactory results. i AM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING ELSE. Cannot put the accessories in the dishwasher and the inside looks terrible. It cooks pizza fine and is good for reheats and sandwiches. I have never put a chunk of meat inside due to the dreaded cleaning issues.

All in one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was beyond excited to come across this beautiful all in one Ninja oven. It has everything you may need to cook reheat dehydrate tasty treats fruits anything your heart desires. I love the fact when you choose for example air fryer option it tells you the recommended rack to put the tray on, I do place it where it indicates though and have fabulous results. At first it felt overwhelming to see many buttons but its just the same as using a regular oven, air fryer and a toaster in one just make sure you go over manual and recipe book to get some ideas. In my old air fryer had longer heating times and my food would result over cooked as to this one I can see the air fryer function and food with the added light button which prevents over cooked food. My first trials was a recipe from the book given which resulted great was oven baked potatoes with tomatoe and bell peppers just one or two that felt a bit hard but the rest were soft. Then I cooked Cat fish oven function it came out soft juicy and just right I checked it with my personal thermometer and it gave me the internal safe temperature, the only thing that I noticed is the thermometer from the oven gave me one temperature while my small thermometer gave me another temperature so to be safe I left food in a bit longer but I do love that option of cookimg a juicy stake or chicken with the added thermometer plus it sticks on the side with magnet. I tried almost all functions except dehydrate that takes too long to wait for my goodies I rather air fry them. I was beyond grateful the oven comes with many racks and basket all the items you may need, I do wash them after they have cooled down to keep them in great shape as instructions recommend. I love the location of the buttons its in perfect position in case oven is on a lower counter and younger children cannot access and play with, it has large numbers great for older folks and young as well. It beeps when the food is ready and after a while it turns off on its own which is great, I love the size of it not bulky just the right size fits my kitchen just perfect I can go on and on how great this oven is but you give it a try you wont be dissapointed do check food to your liking and temperature as well we all like our foods different ways I like mine crunchy and husband gies for softer.

Do not believe the pre-heat indicator

This is not a bad oven, it does all the toaster things but do not believe the pre-heat indicator! We noticed right away that things were not cooking in the same amount of time as our old Breville toaster oven. So I put a thermometer in there on rack position #2, to see what was going on. They claim pre-heat in 90 seconds, but it's a gimmick, when I set the oven to bake at 375, when the pre-heat went off it was not even 200 degrees, it took 4-5 minutes after pre-heat went out to reach that temp in the middle of the oven. The same was true for air-fry, figured it was a bad unit, so we swapped it out, new one did the same thing. After 3-5 minutes it did maintain the temp set pretty well (not as well as a full sized oven, but none of the toaster ovens do) in fact it ran 10-20 degrees hot.

Fantastic little oven/air fryer - very good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a little workhouse! It roasts and air fries, bakes, browns, broils, and does it all.
It is almost intuitive, with the buttons explaining where to put the trays. I do rely on the little book it comes with a lot, which was frustrating at first, but easy with some practice.
It heats really fast and has made some super yummy food, including an entire spatchcocked roasted chicken (YUM!!!) - and it was great - juicy but crispy on the outside.
It does NOT cook as quickly as my previous round "air fryer," which was pretty disappointing, but this thing fits *so much* food, and especially if you don't have an oven (like in a dorm), it's a no brainer to get this appliance.
Note: This is a powerful convention oven, which is how all air fryers work. It does put out heat into the kitchen, and fits a ton of food.
We have done wings, steak, potatoes, whole chicken, fries, fish filets, hushpuppies, etc. All the food gets crispy and "air fried." You do have to watch it closely to avoid over-cooking, but this is true of all air fryers.
The trays aren't difficult to clean.
Pros: juicy meats, crispy "fried" foods, great oven alternative, fits a load of food
Cons: takes longer than other air fryers, quite loud, makes kitchen very warm, takes up a lot of real estate, not entirely intuitive. The trays slide outward toward you, making it important to use gloves carefully with this appliance.

Works well, with a significant learning curve

I really wanted to like this oven, and all in all I would recommend it to those looking for something like it. Really the only down side that I've experienced is that it has a pretty steep learning curve. Expect to have several substandard results until you figure it out and get it to prepare the food as you want. The test recipes don't cook like they're supposed to. This type oven has the tendency to burn the outside of what you're making while not fully cooking the interior. It takes some trial and error to get it to work with the results you'd like.

Amazing appliance, but super hard to clean

I have owned the older version of this for 3ish years now and I still absolutely love it! I never use my oven and rarely my microwave lol this thing does everything you need it to, and then more! The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the cleaning issue… it is a HUGE hassle to clean, I have found that the ‘scourdaddy’ and some dawn dish soap works really well but it’s still really hard to clean 🥺 I have also used JOLT for the hard to get off spots a few times.
