I love my Garmin watches and bike sensors, but this sensor is confusing. I’ve read the manuals and can’t tell if my heart rate is from the heart rate monitor or watch. A simple icon or display would help know the difference.

Good product. Nice fit. Comfortable. Use at gym and outdoors. I Garmin, really, really, really needs to program so user has visual confirmation on watch and/or Connect that the HRM 200 is what is recording and not the optical sensor. NO ONE wants to be told that “most users don’t need to see this”, or “it is confusing to users and unnecessary” or similar rationalizations for why it is not a feature.Please, please fix this. Otherwise happy with product.

The sensitivity of this HRM is better than others. I’ve not had any problems with the one picking my pulse even when I first put it on.

With fully tattooed arms, my Garmin watch would sometimes not accurately track my HR on long runs. The HRM 200 was an easy fix!

Not of use for me

I have a Venu 2S and was interested in getting the most accurate HR information. Went through all machinations to pair etc. Could not distinguish where HR info was coming from. Did not get HRV info I was looking for. After using time trying to figure it out on internet searches, finally quit and sent the device back. So sad!

Hard to tell when it is working or not

It is very hard to determine if it is truly tracking your heart rate or not. Many times I cannot tell if it is or not. Disappointed in this item

Pairing Issues

I had problems pairing this device to my Garmin 945 smart watch, right out of the box. Finally got it paired and it worked for one day. Second day, I tried to use the HRM for my bike ride and it would not pair with the 945. Tried all the HRM 200 and Garmin 945 manual steps, garmin support site, internet searches and nothing helped. Very disappointed in Garmin for not ensuring there are bulletproof connections between its devices (like apple)! Garmin used to be a solid brand but their quality is slipping. I will return this item and shop other brands.
