Half way through rides it starts going up in heart rate and plateaus and stays there. Even when u then remove the HRM 200 strap from chest it still reports the high heart rate. Then doing test at home it unfortunately it keeps ghosting my heart rate even when module is not on strap! Removed battery added a new battery but still with just the HRM200 module on desk not even connected to the strap, it still reports a heart rate of 70 and stays there varying between 70 and 72. Really weird!
Flawless functionalit but vague setup instructions

Absolutely no issues with the HRM 200. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is the setup instructions are too vague. If I could do 4.5 I would as the lack of understanding is probably my fault. Once you figure out how to pair the unit with your Garmin device (I had to YouTube it) the unit works flawlessly. Even if you may not realize it is working, it is...
I never bothered with the return for this product, but it did not pair with my Forerunner 245 at any point. Basically useless device. I previously had a good experience with garmin products but this was disappointing and will make me reconsider buying more products.
I bought the GRM200 several weeks ago for cycling. The HRM works well for about 30 minutes before it starts reporting erratic heart rate data. The heart rate starts accelerating until it reaches 175 bpm.Disconnecting the sensor does not turn off the erratic reported data: it still reports high heart rate data even when disconnected.Obviously the sensor is locking on to something else.I have tried both ANT plus as well as BLE. It does not matter which I use.I still get the same erratic heart rate data.I have tried wetting the strap and wearing a colton base layer under my jersey; still the same nonsense. I am using a Garmin 830 cycling computer. Any ideas?
I think that a device that is called “HRM” which I thought stood for heart rate monitor, would work with the Garmin app to monitor my heart rate! It doesn’t connect to my iPhone, OR the Garmin app! So frustrating. Bye Garmin!
