A gorgeous addition to Inspiring Women collection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My granddaughter has been building a collection of Inspiring Women dolls for several years and she’s in awe of this Isabel Allende edition! The bright red dress with red lipstick to match, black high heels and chunky jewelry are quite glamorous for a historical doll. She was especially drawn to her little dog, Perla! My granddaughter doesn’t remove her collectible dolls from their boxes, but we did carefully slide the insert out of the outer box to arrange her posable arms to more naturally hold her book before returning her to her box for display. Most notable is that the Inspiring Woman graphics on the outer box has changed from the original design and no longer looks cohesive when displayed next to the other boxed dolls in the series. The change was unnecessary and actually a bit upsetting to any collector who might be a perfectionist.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful collectible doll. Love that this Barbie has jointed wrists, elbows and knees. Her red dress is really well made...the outfit is "play proof", as my daughters really tug the clothes on and off. Her little dog is an adorable accessory. Really nice that she comes with a stand. Her hair is sculpted and can withstand play time.

Everything from the hair to the dress represent Ms Allende perfectly. Even Perla her trusty companion looks just like the real life Perla. Just beautiful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This inspiring woman, Isabel, Barbie doll is so detailed and amazing the accuracy of the doll compared to photos and the details done on the doll is incredible. My daughter will absolutely love it and will be more than happy to add it to her collection. All the accessories are so detailed and the stand provided is Nice and sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This doll-sized version of Isabel Allende is wonderful. The doll was made with a lot of attention to detail, especially her face, which turned out great. She wears an elegant red dress, jewelry, and high-heeled shoes, and she can bend her elbows, wrists, and knees. And she even comes with Perla, her dog, who she wrote a children's book about. She comes with a display stand, which is very helpful because she doesn't stand up very easily. It's probably helpful to keep the little rubber bands for her shoes; otherwise, it's hard to keep them on. She would be great for a literature-loving girl or adult, and she even comes with a certificate of authenticity. She's definitely a step up from a typical Barbie, even coming with a little copy of her first, most famous, novel. She would be a great addition to any other Barbie Inspiring Women Series dolls!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must have not understood what type of doll this was when I selected it...the first thing we noticed was that her hair was very hard, and could not be styled at all...Am concerned that the jointed appendages could be easily damages...the capelike sleeve was not finished and could fray...the accessories were very nice, especially the black heels...this doll is meant for collectors and not 5 year olds...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I highly recommend for not only the kids but for adult collectors as well! A hidden bonus was the plastic book and cute dog for accessories. She is classy and elegant for a Barbie doll. She looks like the real deal and am quite impressed. Truly an inspiration for children and adults.
