You can do better

This is my second Frame TV. The first one lasted less than 3 years before the panel went bad. The cost of repair was almost as much as a new TV, so i got a new TV.
The latest software updates to the Frame have made functionality that worked before stop working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not worth it

Hung this TV a year ago. Minimal use and no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. It's never been the smoothest functioning TV....glitchy at times (screen freezing...unresponsive to remote, etc). Then about 4 months ago, the entire right half of the screen lost color balance. Today, the remote stopped working despite charging overnight. Theoretically it's a cool tv...but not good quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

SAVE YOUR $$$$

Save your MONEY…this product is low quality. It performs so slow in every aspect. Imagine the (buffer) color wheel on a Mac book that never ends and that’s the Samsung Frame. The gimmick of the “frame” itself with art projection is minimal quality and average at best. I suggest looking at an LG for much faster reaction times, much better picture, more features (outside of the frame feature) at a much lower price point.

Truly looks like Artwork!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a odd living room layout which gives us limited option for mounting TV on the wall without looking ugly. Hence we decided to go with the frame TV and it truly looks like artwork and we've had so many guest fooled ! They either compliment us on either such a nice painting we have in our living room or remark on the fact that we don't have a TV in our living room. Their faces are a sight to see when we actually turn the TV on !

I am so sad that I bought this TV. The sound quality is ridiculously bad. And the software to change channels or anything else is ridiculously slow, and there is a lag. This TV was not market ready and it’s a joke that I paid this much money for it

If the sound is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several sound settings you can adjust to suit your personal preferences.

• Sound Modes may better meet your personal preferences. Go to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Mode, or Expert Settings to fine-tune and customize your sound.

• Adaptive Sound will also further optimize sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content. Go to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Intelligent Mode Settings.

Should you choose to add a Samsung Soundbar to your TV, please know that our Q- and S-Series Soundbars (such as the HW-S800D) feature Q-Symphony which will synchronize with the speakers of your TV for an immersive 3D sound experience.

I love hearing my guests say, “I can’t believe you don’t have a TV in your living room”!! This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Period.
