77" S90D was a Valentine's Day gift in 2024. I am writing this review on April 1 2025.
Overall, the TV is excellent. We also have a recent model 77" Sony OLED. It's a very good set, and beats the Samsung in sound (without a soundbar), but the picture on the Samsung QD-OLED is so much brighter that it immediately became the living room TV, and the Sony went upstairs to the playroom.
We were afraid to play games on the Sony, but we regularly play PS5 Games on the Samsung with no issue. The picture looks amazing and there is little to no lag time.
The remote control is excellent, and being Solar we save on batteries.
The only drawback is the fact that Samsung now makes you sign in to use the smart TV functions- even minimal functions, such as accessing apps (Netflix, Prime, Youtube, etc.). I absolutely hate this. Why do I have to sign in to watch a TV I own? Sony does not make you do this. I can access the apps from the remote control and no sign-in is needed. Samsung, if you are reading this, in a day and age where privacy is in question, and many people are concerned with everything from personal info being sold to being a target for whatever political side you watch, why are you forcing this?

Beautiful tv with one giant problem

Just got my Tv a couple days ago. I decided to put it up on the wall and got a couple smudges on it. I wiped it down the way Samsung says to do it with distilled water and a microfiber. Doing even the most gentle wipe completely took off the anti glare coating and made the entire panel blotchy. It’s not the biggest deal but it is very unprofessional that Samsung wants to charge me to fix it. Never buying a Samsung tv again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your experience. When cleaning your S90D TV's screen, please keep in mind the following:
- Power off your TV before cleaning. Leaving your TV off for 5-10 minutes prior to cleaning will allow the screen to cool down and prevent excessive streaking.
- Carefully wipe using a soft, dry cloth to avoid scratches
- Do not use any chemicals such as wax, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticide, air fresheners, lubricants, or detergents
- Do not spray water or any liquid directly onto the TV

Bad day to ask for my review

Beautiful tv. I loved it until it became a black picture frame. 13 months is all I get for 2500. A well know problem of bad power boards that Samsung does not want recall. I bought 3 Samsung tvs last year and will probably never buy another Samsung product again

Samsung S90D OLED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the best TV I've ever owned. If you've never seen OLED before your in a for a real treat. The picture quality is top notch. Blacks are deep and inky. The colors pop off the screen due to the Quantum dots. It gets really bright too...easily visible for daytime viewing. I'm a gamer, this TV has all the bells and whistles when it comes to gaming. HDR, VRR, ALLM, low input lag, game bar, game motion plus....it's all here. It supports 4k at 120 hz refresh rate. I love it, now that I've gotten to experience OLED, I don't think I can ever go back to LED TV's!
I would recommend this to a friend!
