Shockingly impressive even compared to QLED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm impressed by the contrast compared to any of samsung's other panels. I was definitely hoping to be wowed and I'm glad I went with the 90D!
Colors are super vibrant by defauly and I did actually have to adjust them a bit just to tone it down, but the result is just incredible.
I was worried a bit about green hazing around some sharp edges but I don't seem to find myself noticing any in use!

Poor quality

I bought this 2 weeks ago. I have tried many things and picture quality is terrible. Grainy and poor picture quality. Not happy.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your S90D TV. To ensure you’ve got the latest image quality updates, please confirm that your TV is up to date with the latest firmware version. You can check by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.

Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).

Intelligent Mode also enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Intelligent Mode Settings > Intelligent Mode.

Great picture, busy home screen, poor WiFi

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We mostly use our S90D to stream TV series, movies, and sports. Right now, I’m watching professional bicycle racing, while my wife is into football and is looking forward to the upcoming season. Overall, the picture quality is incredible. The color balance, brightness, contrast, and sharpness are all top-notch. I also watch a lot of older black-and-white films, which look great as well.
We’re still exploring different features, such as adjusting color and picture settings, but I often find myself reverting to the default settings or using the Film/Movie mode, as those look best. I’ve tried the AI settings, but they never seem quite right—more tweaking may be necessary. We’ve also connected our indoor over-the-air antenna, which works quite well with the TV.
The Home Screen is too cluttered, and I haven’t taken the time yet to clean it up and remove the content I don’t want—or what Samsung assumes we want to see (which is mostly off the mark).
Wi-Fi performance has been disappointing, even after relocating both the TV and the router for a clear line of sight. Max and TCM seem to have the most connectivity issues, either showing a poor internet connection or dropping out entirely. I’ve worked around this by switching to a wired connection.

This is one of the best TVs I have ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this TV because my old one was outdated. I desired a TV with a very bright screen and a higher refresh rate. Additionally, I wanted something slim and modern in appearance. This TV is exceptional for my PlayStation 5 and streaming TV. It boasts some of the best color contrast features and smart features I’ve ever encountered on any TV. The Smart hub also functions exceptionally well compared to other TV markets. People are astounded when they see my TV and how well it works. Even the speakers in this TV are quite good, which is a rare feature in many other TVs. In fact, this TV was worth every penny I paid for. It was so good that I actually bought a second one solely for my PlayStation 5. It’s challenging to pinpoint my favorite aspect of this TV, but if I must choose, I think it’s its thinness and power. This TV can effortlessly perform any task, and I believe that’s what truly sets it apart.

Disappointed so far but fingers crossed

Great picture for the ten days it worked (nice sound too). The picture is really amazing but went black (with sound still working) and back on and to black repeatedly. Now it is black screen and occasionally has a picture. Service evaluated on first visit, replaced power supply on second visit (did not correct condition) and in two days will replace the screen so said the tech. Service team has been great so far. Hopefully they replace enough components that it finally works because it really did have a great picture for the brief few days it worked.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad Product

I sent it back to the store where I bought it from it has been over a week and they still don’t know how to fix it. Never in my life ever ever had a TV completely fail after only eight months. Will never again purchase a Samsung television.
