Great picture. Poor sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture is nice & clear, what you would expect of a high quality tv. The sound is sooooo ... bad! The sound is worse than an old black & white portable I once owned. While watching a show, if you want to raise the volume, good luck. We watch anywhere between 10 & 28 depending on the show & any background noise. We may need to raise the volume to the 50s to get just a SMALL increase. I've even had to go to the 70s at times. Then a commercial comes on & some of them practically blow out your eardrums. You constantly need to adjust the volume. To get tvs flatter, for "looks", the sound quality has suffered. How sad.

Thank you for purchasing Samsung's S90D TV and for your feedback on the sound. To ensure you’ve got the latest sound quality updates, please confirm that your TV is up to date with the latest firmware version. You can check by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

If the sound is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several sound settings you can adjust to suit your personal preferences.

• Sound Modes may better meet your personal preferences. Go to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Mode, or Expert Settings to fine-tune and customize your sound.

• Adaptive Sound will also further optimize sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content. Go to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Intelligent Mode Settings.

Should you choose to add a Samsung Soundbar to your TV, please know that our Q-Series Soundbars (such as the HW-Q600C) feature Q-Symphony which will synchronize with the speakers of your TV for an immersive 3D sound experience.

S90D Stunning

Pink screen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Occassionally the screen turns pink and theres no volume, it can stay like this for hours.
Occasionally the volume greatly increases on its own.
Our room is not real bright but when we watch during the day we have to move to a different chair to avoid a glare on the screen.
Picture is very sharp and clear.

What Could Have Been

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me preface this statement by saying I have only ever owned Samsung TVs and don’t have any plans to change moving forward. Their quality and durability has allowed me to avoid purchasing a new TV every 2-4 years to keep up with technology. That said, there aren’t many things in life that can damage the psyche more than regretting an expensive purchase and I fear that is what happened with my new QN55S90 TV. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the picture as the Samsung badge can always guarantee. However, there aren’t enough bad words in the English language to paint a picture for how useless the Samsung Tizen OS is. I would even venture to say it’s the worst OS on *any* device I’ve ever used. Between the head scratching interface that would put any grandparent in an early grave and constant app failures, I genuinely cannot think of one positive thing to say about it. I have owned the TV for 6 months and have deleted and reinstalled apps more than 20x. Exacerbating this issue, Samsung buried the reinstall feature deep in the settings menu. Additionally, you would assume the home button means always landing on the same page since it has a designated button on the remote but alas it takes you to the top of the page you are on (I.e. If you’re watching cable on the “home” page and switch to the Game tab and click the home button, you go to the top of the game tab — not the designated “home” page.

You’ll love this TV (w/ a streaming stick)

Thus tv drives me crazy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tv is overly difficult to use. For one thing it is coupled with Google, which is totally obnoxious because, as only Google can do, it tries to infer itself into things as simple as changing channels.
It has a good picture, and I have been a pretty loyal Samsung customer, but this is a nonstarter for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my wife and I have been buying Samsung tvs since 2007 and have had nothing but great longevity from our purchases my last purchase for my front room was 2016 65 KS8500 is still going strong and the QLED tvs in the boys other rooms, my bedroom 2011 55 D7000 finally died so pick this up on crazy low price Labor Day sale and can’t be happier with the performance of this tv!!
