[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The auto launch feature for home screen layout was very frustrating as I could do nothing with my remote to obtain sound or a tv channel when I turned on the tv. Finally after 3 minutes the tv worked as expected. After several phone calls to LG, I talked to someone June 6 who helped me with the set up to disable the auto launch. I still get a menu of channels instead of only one channel when I turn the tv on. That is an improvement over the first few weeks of using the LG tv. I record a series entitled The Bold and Beautiful and on the LG tv the language is in Spanish. The language is in English on other tv's in the home so I have to watch the program in another room. I have asked Dish Network about this and they have no answer why this happens.

Believe it or not, in this day and time, my wife and I were replacing a "box" TV bought from a mail order 20 years ag. As we walked into the electronics are of a large popular store, we were faced with may TV choice in our size range all tuned to the same channel hanging on the wall. We were drawn to the LG, having memory of previous recommendation from somewhere in the past. A sales person was walking in the area and we stopped her and asked if she had good feedback on the LG make of TV.
