Amazing controller! Love the paddles on the back, it makes it feel like a scuff controller. Good price. The only con about this controller is that it doesn’t support amibo. But to be honest my friend has a hard time scanning his amibos with his pro controller.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Suddenly stopped connecting

Picked this up so I had something to use while I sent my joycons in for repairs. Connected ok (although it was a bit finicky to do so) and controlled alright. Even used it the day it stopped working in the morning no problem, but when I picked it up to play some more later on it just didn’t connect. No matter how many times I reset the controller, the console, or any variation of that, it just stopped connecting.

Worked amazing until it didn't

I've had this controller for a while now, but since the last few months, my controller decided to stop working. I used the charging wire because I prefer using wired pads, but eventually it decided to not turn on. Regardless, the controller functioned incredibly well throughout its lifespan.

Drops Connection

Bought both the red and the blue controllers. The controllers are nice size and feel and comfortable to use. However, on the first day of use they both would randomly drop connection and to be reconnected to the switch. We returned them and got the pro controller instead which has been great.

Very satisfied

I bought this controller almost a year ago and I am still satisfied with my purchase. This controller is reliable and fantastic considering its price. I prefer to use my controller to hand-held mode, especially considering anxiety about joycon drift. The battery life is decent and so is connectivity. I am going to purchase another one of these controllers so I can enjoy multi-player games without joycon anxiety
I would recommend this to a friend!

Absolute Trash

You think the drift on the Joycons is bad? Wait until you check out this guy.
From the first time trying to pair it took over a dozen attempts. Okay, that must be why it's cheap, the pairing isn't the best... nope!
Tried multiple games and it was just unusable. Lag. Drift. Buttons not being recognized at all. I'd rather deal with the inconsistent drift of the joycons than try to use this.

Garbage. 2 with severe intermittent input lag.

We bought 2 for my niece and nephews so we could all play during the holidays. These Surge controllers constantly lag for seconds at a time - intermittently holding whatever the last input was -- for example in mariokart 8, while cornering, it will lag, lose connection and contine turning and not respond to anything for several seconds. Gas button will stop working fpr aseversl seconds. Various loss of function issues. They really are complete trash. Full battery next to the docked console doesnt matter. Alos the power button doesnt power on the console and it doesnt have many of the original nintendo functions.

Don't love it

I find it doesn't stay connected the greatest. At times when playing Mario Cart the character will start to go all over the places as the controller doesn't seem to be fully connected. It's also not that far from the box. Doesn't do it all the time but once in awhile
