Pros: Love the self-opening lid canister.
Light canister and easy to move for being so large.

Cons: The lid opens on its own consistently (we are not saying a command to it and not walking by it), and this allows stinky odors to escape. Not thrilled having to unplug the canister to prevent self-opening.
It would be nice to turn the sensor on a command-only option to keep the lid from opening all the time. The sensor could benefit from a timer so the lid closes quicker (i. e. 2s, 5s, 8seconds).

This is a very nice garbage can. I love the color, goes perfectly with my decor. It’s elegant and practical all in one. I like that it has the wave feature and the voice feature, so if I am not standing directly over the garage can I can still throw something away with the voice feature. , just have to make sure my aim is good. Love the purchase.

For days my husband thought it was just a replacement stainless steel can. I didn’t expect bright brass and gaudy, but i only can see the tone at 5-6 pm as the evening light comes in the kitchen window. Otherwise quality product.

This is my second exact one. This version is even better then the previous one. I noticed the improved sensors. I do recommend, great product. I have an older version of the soap dispenser, wonder should I see what that is like…. 🤔

This is my second touchless garbage can from simplehuman and absolutely love it. Our first garbage can lasted at least 10 years and it worked so well also with voice activation. I can’t get any other garbage can. This is by far the best product!
