Garbage!

I’ve had this can a couple weeks and the sensors are not working properly and the gears inside are making a crunching noise. Way too much money for this piece of garbage.

Good trash can

I purchased it in the matte gold to match my kitchen and it is beautiful. I love the motion sensor open, it can be battery operated or plugged in, I haven’t figured out the voice activation yet so can’t comment on that. This is my 4th simplehuman trash can, I like the ease of use.

Convenient, sleek, malfunctions a bit

5 stars for the physical design—I love that food & trash won’t get stuck at the top, back of the inner lid as trash goes in. The size of the sensor can is just right.
4 stars for the technology—the voice command doesn’t seem to work at all. The sensor can opens up when no one is near it.
4 stars for the price—I wish it was a bit less expensive.

Warranties matter

I have always loved simple human items. From my dish rack to my trash can. My hands are always full so when my touchless tag can stopped working I tried every truck in the book to no avail. I contacted simple human and shared what was happening and my warranty allowed me to get a new replacement within just a few days. Thanks for keeping things simple for me!!!!

Really like the quiet clothes lid, and that it responds to voice command

I love the garbage can. I had a prior simple human garbage can for over 25 years. Really like this one quite a bit better because you can barely hear the lid open and close. And I love that it responses to voice commands.

Great can, odor eliminator fell in trash

Great trash can! Thin profile, and both the motion sensor and voice activation work well. It is easy to clean. The only issue is that the odor eliminator which was included in my purchase fell off into the trash and I inadvertently threw it out! I attached it according to the directions, so I would consider that the one flaw. Otherwise this would be a five star review.

Unreal, garbage can friend

The can is absolutely superb and simple. I would give a shout out to my friend Brad for recommending this garbage can. I talk to it daily and admire its skills. We may not see hi to eye because it is shorter than me, but it opens that lid as soon as I ask it to. it makes throwing away garbage simple.
