It’s strange to think a little thing like voice command of you trash can can save so many headaches. . but it’s amazing… My Aunt stayed with us for two weeks then called when she went home complaining her trash can wasn’t listening to her… You just get used to the convenience so quickly. . highly recommend. .

Does not operate with batteries.

Unfortunately the battery option does not work. 6 brand new batteries were inserted but trash can didn’t work. Only works when plugged into an outlet.
Very disappointed because I don’t have an outlet where I wanted the trash can to be.

The most sleek, modern, and sophisticated trash can!

This trash can is superior in quality. There is nothing better than having the most commonly used “appliances” in the kitchen be practical, functional, and attractive all at once. The speech enabled function to open/close the can is really convenient, especially when your hands are full. I also like how the trash bags fit snugly in the can, which reduces less waste when disposing of trash bags so they’re filled to capacity rather than wasting garbage bag space. I also love how you do not need scented bags when you’ve got the scent pods that are affixed right on the inside of the trash can lid. All SimpleHuman needs to do now is invent a trash can that can walk the trash bags outside for you!!! HAHA!!
