Great replacement for our step-open

Great replacement for our step-open recycler after it wore out. Only suggestion would be to have some option to decrease the minimum distance of the sensor - we have ours on a path through the kitchen where you can easily pass within 6" and open it inadvertently.

Is it convenient, yes, but I have had to replace the top unit through a manufacturing warranty twice now within 3 years of ownership. It just seems to gradually wear down over time. Still a cool product.
