Perfect placement

There are obviously excellent features that we appreciate, but for us it’s the placement in our kitchen that makes us happy. As opposed to looking like a trash can, it looks more like a kitchen appliance. We put it next to our refrigerator where it fits snug along the wall and is easily accessible, hardly noticeable but always there ready to receive!

My trash lid opening mechanism completely broke into piece after basic use which was wild. I messaged simplehuman and after verifying some info they sent a replacement. I was satisfied with their approach and suggest you give them a chance to make things right. Love the replacement.

Great can, awesome warranty coverage

I'm on my 3rd version of this can. We really like it, works well in our kitchen. We are having our kitchen completely redone with new cabinets this summer, but told the contractor to NOT install a trash can cabinet, since this works so well. The first one broke at the lid hinge, this was in 2023 but I had no receipt, couldn't claim the warranty. So, we bought another one. This time I kept the receipt. Well, the 2nd one broke on the bigger hinge for the cover a couple weeks ago. I contacted simplehuman, uploaded a copy of the original receipt and a photo of the broken part. To my surprise, they honored the warranty (10 years!), and sent me a brand new can, it arrived the next day! Thanks!

Sleek trash can

I love the look of this trashcan. The only problem, with my household of 5, the recycling bin doesn’t fit the amount of trash we produce. It gets full to overflowing everyday.

Well made, but felt cramped to use for trash

We had gotten so used to our oval simplehuman trash can (no longer available), that trying to scrape plates into the trash side of the 58L step recycler felt like a down-grade. We are keeping the recycler though and hope that the replacement blue bins are back in stock soon so we can just use both sides for recycling.
