It creaks opening and closing.

I am on my second one with the same exact problem. The lid creaks when you open and close it. All of the advertising brags how quiet the lid is. It’s the opposite of quiet. Disappointed. Way too much money for the subpar build quality.

Still not quite right

It’s great except the trash side is much smaller than a typical tall kitchen garbage bag. This means that the can is full long before the bag is and that’s wasteful, or you can buy the really expensive bags that are made to fit this smaller capacity can. The trash side just needs to be bigger without sacrificing the recycling space. Also, the lid scratches very easily.

Great combination of recycling and trash in a sleek, space saving unit. Like the replacement bag storage and ease of emptying. White color blends nicely with our kitchen. Very happy with purchase, feel we got a lot for our money.

Sturdy but no way to open without foot pedestal

Pros: The sturdy construction is nice because the can does not need to be up against the wall, which with other designs leaves a mark on the wall. There is also a convenient handle in the back to lift it since it pretty heavy.
Cons: The bins are a bit small. Standard garbage bags do not stay upright, so you'll need to use a rubber to keep it up. The fitted bags are half the size but more expensive as a standard bag. One feature that is needed is a way to open the top with your hands. Guests often try to open the top without being familiar with the design and this puts undue strain on the mechanism and leads to lid not lifting all the way eventually. Also it's a bit confusing on how to keep the lid open to empty out. Sometimes the mechanism inside gets stuck and doesn't close all the way. That's a small thing just gets some getting used to. Also it would be nice if it were a little big larger, this was the largest double size available.
