My 55 gallon simplehuman trash can

This is a great product well constructed and comes with a 10 year warranty. I can tell you from experience that they honor their warranty, after owning this model for five years something happened and they immediately replaced it with a brand new one. How great is that?

Love, love, love this!

I received this originally in 2016 (it was on my Christmas wish list). While wiping it down in 2019 some of the finish came off. I contacted simplehuman and after verification of the issue they replaced it free of charge. Doesn't get any better than that. If you use their bags you won't have problems with stuff falling out of the bag into the container as well.

Worth every penny

This is a warranty replacement for a 50 L can that I had for 6 years. The finish was beginning to wear and I called to ask how it could be repaired. I had no idea there was a 10-year warranty! After initially balling at the price of an initial purchase, I also purchased for my son and daughter’s homes.

Best trash can ever

A few years ago I purchased a simple human trash can for my parents for their anniversary. It was tall and round and had a swinging lid. I thought it looked so cool. Unfortunately, it was the worst trash can ever manufactured. It inevitably got dirty every time you threw food in it. Thank goodness for this trash can. The no show loner, the huge capacity, the liner pocket. It doesn’t even show fingerprints although you wouldn’t need to touch it bc of the efficiency of the step open lid. Five stars.

Nice and large for recycling

I needed something large to put our paper recycling in that suited our kitchen (needed something that could accommodate pizza boxes :). The dark bronze would have been my first choice (not available in this style) so I chose the white. It's a great size for recycling, unfortunately they don't make the Q bags in the clear which means the handy little storage area at the back of the can goes unused. It would be great if simplehuman made more sizes of bags for recycling with all the recycling programs that communities have in place. At the end of the week I only have about 5 gallons of regular garbage but easily fill this 55L with papers and another 55L with plastics and metals.
