This Step Can is so nice and great in that it is large enough around the inside top to receive all your food scraps . And nice and clean looking in my kitchen. I’m enjoying it!

I'm Embarrassed....
on November 4, 2026
Posted by: Caleb G.
I'm embarrassed by how much I like this trashcan. The silent close lid, the step, everything about it is stellar. The only bad thing is that it's making me wish I had ordered the motion sensor trashcan.
If you're on the fence like I was about spending this much on a trashcan, let this be what pushed you over the edge. You will not regret this purchase.

Thru the years I have had several Simplehuman trash containers. The 45L Rectangular Step Can is the best one ever. I love how I can step on it to open. I love all your products.

My son actually made me aware of these cans probably 7 years ago when he was living in New York I have purchased one for my front porch my kitchen my bathroom and my laundry room. They're durability so impressive easy wipe down clean up. The liners I've never had one penetrated. And I love the little smelly attachments.

Big and beautiful is my new can! Easy to set up and especially easy to use. It looks right at home with all the stainless appliances (refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, sink, and stove) in my kitchen.
