Perfection in a trash can.

This trash can is perfect for our kitchen. It fits the space perfectly. It matches our stainless steel appliances. It is a treat to have a receptacle that doesn't need to be hidden away in a cupboard or closet ... so much more convenient. It works like a charm. It is easy to keep clean. Love it!

Bad design

This trash can has a nice look to it and we were looking for something slim to put in a small kitchen. This trash can is poorly designed as the lid doesn’t open all the way making it extremely difficult to take a full trash bag out of it. You almost need 2 people to make it work. This was expensive and I’m disappointed that it doesn’t work better.

This can is perfect for my recycling. I now have more recycling than trash which is a good thing! Just wish simplehuman made recycling bags to use in all of their cans.

Nice & Spacious Trash Can

This trash can is a nice size and more spacious than other. After a few months, I was tired of stepping on the bottom and like some cans, it tends to move back some. So, I later bought the can I had before in a larger size where the lid can stays up. Now that I have been recycling in my building, I would probably want to get one of those in the future.

I like the shape and design of this trash can. The 45L is a good size for my kitchen. I have owned this can for a couple of years. The problem I have with it is the can is very thin. There are several dents in it now. I have it in a good location. Also, the bronze finish is wearing off. I clean it with warm water gently. For this reason I cannot recommend this can or give it five stars.

I'm in love with my trash can

Okay, first off, I NEVER take the time to write reviews, and secondly, I didn't know it was possible, but I'm actually in love with my trash can! No seriously, it's literally my favorite "appliance" in my kitchen now. The design is ingenious and beautiful, I love that the bags fit so perfectly, auto dispense, and adore that the bag itself is hidden. That feature is perfect for neat/design freaks as myself, and as a plus, hides the edge of the bag from my dogs so they can't pull the trash out. It's beautiful, works so well, and fits a TON of trash. Whereas we used to take out the trash almost daily, sometimes twice if it was a day I cooked, we are going sometimes a week without taking the trash out. My partner and I used to complain over taking the trash out, and now the experience is so enjoyable, we both try to take it out! If you're on the fence, the price tag is worth every single cent, but be warned, once you go with simplehuman trash cans, you may never go back!
