It fits in with our kitchen decor and found a perfect place next to pantry. Was able to get rid of bulky canister in garage. Functional, great design and works like all other Simplehuman products we have gotten.

THE BEST!!!

This “Step Can” is the BEST!!! It’s keeps orders out of the kitchen. But perhaps the best part about it is how very “quiet” it is. No more noisy banging lid! It’s worth every penny and I would highly recommend It to everyone!

Good trash can but

I’ve only had it for about a month and whenever the lid closes, it makes a weird screeching noise. Could be it needs some kind of lubrication... but did not expect this to happen so quickly with such an expensive trash can. Pretty disappointed.

Not All-Metal Construction

I bought this trash bin because it was billed as being constructed of stainless steel. Of course, once I received it, I found it contained a significant number of plastic parts.
If you are like me and trying to minimize your plastic footprint by buying a trash can with all-metal construction, this is not the can for you.
