Based on average daily use, the can should last at least 6-8 months on a single set of high-capacity alkaline batteries.

Nice looking and works well, but you only get 1 to 2 months on a set of batteries.

To ensure a long battery life:
1. Use fresh high quality alkaline batteries. We recommend Duracell Alkaline.
2. Do not use rechargeable AA batteries.
3. Clean battery contacts from any debris or residue.

Best Garbage Can Ever!

Absolutely love this. Most importantly it keeps all of the nasty odors inside the can. Love that it opens automatically when my hands are full. Couldn't ask for anything better. Definitely worth the cost.

I love almost everything about the can except it was a bit difficult to find a spot to place it so every time you walk pass it it doesn't go up. For me it's a game to get it not to go up when I'm not putting trash in it.
Great purchase and highly recommend it.

I have had this trash can for a few months and Still haven't replaced the batteries yet we have two kids it gets used a lot . Best trash can ever!!!

I so glad I shelled out for this trash can. I hated the previous one we had because it was not large enough and I would always have issues with dropping gunk on the lid when I was trying to open it. Problem solved!
